The car stopped in front of Grandma Zhou's house. Watching her get off, Xia Lu remained motionless.
Grandma Zhou walked a few steps and noticed no one was following her. She turned her head and saw Xia Lu still sitting in the car, so she had to say, "Why are you still sitting inside and not getting out?"
Xia Lu was somewhat surprised. She thought Grandma Zhou not taking her back meant she would first return here and that how she would return later entirely depended on her negotiations with the driver. She hadn't expected that even this, Grandma Zhou wouldn't be willing to do.
