"Everything was fine, so why are you suddenly arranging a marriage for Nianhua?"
As soon as she walked in, Liu Sanmei started sizing up her daughter. After giving her husband's family two sons, even though her mother-in-law could be difficult, with two grandsons to show for it, Xu Qinghu's days were naturally pretty good.
"Mom, they're interested in Nianhua." Xu Qinghu actually wasn't too sure about it either; it's just that the boss's son liked her, so she figured that was how things were.
"He's met Nianhua?" Liu Sanmei thought about how, lately, Xu Nianhua and her brother had been going into the county a lot, saying they were selling plums.
Those plums, sour and astringent—can they really sell?
