"Nianhua, you aren't even married to my brother yet, and you're already worrying about his health." Pei Yining teased, saying, "My brother sure is lucky to have you as his sister-in-law."
"Yining, I care about you too. Your period's coming up soon, so make sure you don't eat ice cream," Xu Nianhua gently reminded her.
Just about to hang up and go eat, Yining suddenly deflated. "Isn't it still…two days? Three days?"
"Nope," Xu Nianhua said sternly, "Your grandpa said so—your body needs to be well taken care of. You don't want to be in pain every time your period comes, right? You don't want your grandpa, at his age, still worrying about you, do you?"
Pei Yining: "…"
Her popsicle, she really wanted to eat!
"I've got things to do here, so I'll leave it at that. Bye!" Satisfied, Xu Nianhua hung up, and even though she hadn't seen Pei Yining's expression, she could picture it clearly.
