"Um, this, uh..."
Xu Nianji hesitated for ages before finally saying, "Little sis, your sister-in-law's birthday is coming up, and she's about to have the baby. I was thinking, the chocolates you brought last time—she loves them. South City doesn't sell them, and the shop here doesn't have anything as tasty as the ones you brought."
"That's all?" Xu Nianhua let out a sigh of relief. "No problem, next time I'll buy a box and send it home. I guarantee there'll be enough for sister-in-law."
"And another thing," Xu Nianji said, "I want to get her a watch. The styles here aren't great. Could you check if Ningbei has more options? She likes silver, something small and dainty, suitable for a girl."
"After you get it, tell me how much it cost and I'll send you the money. But don't mail it home, just send it to the county—I'll pick it up."
"Also, you have to make sure you don't say a word to your sister-in-law."
Xu Nianji nagged on and on, repeating his instructions.
Xu Nianhua: "..."
