Chapter 61 - Epilogue : THE BEGINNING BEYOND THE END

Epilogue: The Beginning Beyond the End

The Kingdom of Azura had changed.

What had once been a land scarred by war had become a beacon of hope.

Children ran freely through streets that had once echoed with the cries of battle.

Mana-powered lanterns illuminated the roads each night, while the towering fortress of KHAGMAS stood proudly over the kingdom—a symbol that even after the darkest night, dawn would always come.

The wounds of the people slowly healed.

Families rebuilt their homes.

Farmers returned to their fields.

Scholars filled the new libraries with knowledge once thought lost forever.

Peace...

Had finally returned.

But Lee Kung knew better than anyone else.

Peace was never permanent.

---

One quiet evening, as the crimson sun slowly disappeared behind the western mountains, Lee Kung and Armin walked together along the stone path that overlooked the kingdom.

Neither of them spoke for a while.

The breeze carried the scent of fresh grass and blooming flowers.

Birds flew peacefully across the orange sky.

Armin folded his arms.

"You've been thinking too much."

Lee Kung smiled faintly.

"Have I?"

"You always get that look whenever something is bothering you."

Lee Kung looked toward the horizon.

"I keep thinking about Dehaska."

Armin's smile faded.

"The corruption is gone."

Lee Kung shook his head.

"No."

"Only a part of it."

He stopped walking.

"The Shadow Realm still exists."

"The Realm Stones are still scattered."

"And Dehaska..."

"...is still out there."

Armin sighed.

"I was hoping you'd say something less terrifying."

Lee Kung chuckled softly.

"I wish I could."

He looked toward the distant silhouette of KHAGMAS.

"We won a battle."

"But not the war."

Silence returned.

Then Lee Kung spoke again.

"I've been thinking."

Armin raised an eyebrow.

"Dangerous."

Lee Kung laughed.

"I want to build something."

"What?"

"A school."

Armin looked confused.

"A school?"

"For gifted people."

Lee Kung nodded.

"For those who have awakened their abilities..."

"...and for those who haven't."

Armin remained quiet.

Lee Kung continued.

"There are children out there..."

"Just like we once were."

"Some will awaken incredible powers."

"Some won't."

"But every one of them deserves guidance."

He looked toward KHAGMAS.

"We can't keep waiting for darkness to return before preparing."

"We need protectors."

"We need teachers."

"We need leaders."

Armin slowly smiled.

"So..."

"You want to train the next generation."

Lee Kung nodded.

"If Dehaska ever returns..."

"...they'll be ready."

Armin laughed.

"I actually like that idea."

He extended his hand.

"Partners?"

Lee Kung smiled.

"Partners."

The two shook hands.

High above them...

The evening sky glowed peacefully.

Neither of them noticed...

The shadow of a raven silently flying toward the west.

Toward a realm where no light reached.

---

Far beyond the borders of Azura...

Beyond the Eight Realms...

Beyond space...

Beyond time itself...

Lay the Shadow Realm.

A kingdom consumed by endless darkness.

Rivers of black fire flowed beneath jagged mountains.

The air itself screamed.

Countless shadow creatures knelt in absolute silence before an enormous throne forged from obsidian and living flame.

The throne was empty.

A hooded priest slowly approached, carrying a massive black bowl carved from the skull of an ancient beast.

Inside it...

Blood shimmered with crimson-gold light.

Dragon King's blood.

The priest knelt.

"My Lord..."

"We have obtained what you desired."

He slowly lifted the bowl.

"With this blood..."

"...taken from the Dragon King..."

"...I bring your body back."

The blood floated into the air.

It spiraled around the empty throne.

Dark flames erupted.

The entire Shadow Realm trembled violently.

The throne cracked.

A heartbeat echoed through the darkness.

THUMP.

Again.

THUMP.

Again.

THUMP!

The blood exploded into countless streams of crimson light.

Darkness swallowed them immediately.

A towering figure slowly rose from the throne.

Not a spirit.

Not a shadow.

A body.

Real.

Physical.

Complete.

Black armor covered his enormous frame.

His crimson eyes opened slowly.

Ancient power flooded the realm.

Every shadow creature immediately lowered its head.

No one dared breathe.

The figure slowly flexed his fingers.

He smiled.

At first...

Softly.

Then louder.

Until the entire Shadow Realm echoed with terrifying laughter.

"Hahahahaha..."

"So..."

He looked down at his newly restored hands.

"It has finally begun."

He slowly rose from the throne.

His cape of living darkness spread behind him like an endless night.

"After all these centuries..."

"I can finally walk the Realms again."

His eyes burned brighter than ever.

"Lee Kung..."

"You've given me exactly what I needed."

He stretched out one hand.

Darkness gathered around it.

"Now..."

His smile widened.

"...let us begin..."

"...Phase Two."

His laughter echoed endlessly across the Shadow Realm.

And far away...

Somewhere beneath the peaceful skies of Azura...

Lee Kung suddenly stopped walking.

He placed a hand over his chest.

The Dragon Armor beneath his skin pulsed once.

As if warning him.

As if sensing that the greatest battle had yet to come.
