The next day, when Roger still saw Gary Payton at the training ground, he was a bit surprised.
Wasn't that son of a ***** supposed to be kicked out yesterday?
Gary Payton still hadn't communicated with everyone; he just started training by himself.
But Roger approached him.
"You're still here, which means you want to stay. If you want to stay, don't forget your responsibilities. You're not the sixth man, and this season we don't have a role for a sixth man. You won't get any solid stats, or have a strategic position."
"Enough," Gary Payton glared at Roger angrily, "shut up, I've played basketball all my life, I know exactly what I'm supposed to do!"
Roger nodded and left, not wasting any more words on the Glove. He didn't know if his words yesterday made Payton stay, nor did he care, because he didn't say those things to persuade him to stay.
Roger still had the same mindset: if this old guy is willing to give it another shot, then try; if not, just cut him.
