Chapter 920 - Chapter 919: Little Jiu’s Training

This dream world felt very wondrous.

It felt a bit like the memory world created by the Aeon of Remembrance, but compared to the memory world before, this place was smaller and had less freedom.

After simply exploring around, the entire dreamscape only maintained an area centered on Robin's field of vision.

Looking at the surrounding buildings again, the farther buildings were just like textures; one could only see an image there, but there was nothing inside.

"It's actually Robin's dream? Is it a plot where I satisfy her dream, then pull her out of the dreamscape, and we fight the boss together?"

"Hmm? Time is… stopped?"

Pei Guang glanced at the system and noticed that although he could move freely in the dreamscape, the system time was stopped.

Although the inventory was banned, his skills and traits were completely unaffected.

Trying to take items out of the inventory, he received a prompt from the system.

[Unable to retrieve and use any real items within the Dreamscape]

"Hmm?"

This prompt made Pei Guang find it even more interesting. If he remembered correctly, in Penacony's Dreamscape, these things could all be taken, and even things in the Dreamscape could be stuffed in.

But now it prompted that they couldn't be used in the dreamscape?

Recalling Dan Heng's support within a map and some anomalies when entering Penacony, Pei Guang had some guesses based on his own experience.

But guesses were ultimately guesses. The specific situation would have to be understood after going through the plot later.

As for now...

Pei Guang's gaze landed on the pair of siblings in front of him. The still-young Robin and Sunday were looking at a bird with an injured wing and discussing something.

"What are you doing?"

Pei Guang's voice startled Robin.

She spoke nervously: "This little bird is injured. My brother and I are thinking about how to help it. My brother wants to build a cage for it because that way he can better protect the little bird.

But I don't want the little bird to be imprisoned in a cage. Although it's still small, hasn't even grown all its feathers, and can't sing, it didn't hatch from its shell to live in a cage. Birds are born to belong to the sky."

Pei Guang noticed Robin's eyes were sparkling.

Although it was a dreamscape, the little Robin in front of him clearly had her own emotions.

"Is that so? Your goal is to let this little guy survive and then fly to the sky, right?"

Robin's little head nodded vigorously: "I hope this little bird can fly back to the sky again."

Pei Guang nodded: "Is your dream to help those who suffer and have no hope, giving them the chance and motivation to live again?"

When it came to reading comprehension, Pei Guang was a professional.

Thinking back to those twelve years of study, from ancient times to the present, from domestic to foreign, how many famous works had he analyzed?

Just for a "Goodnight" by Lu Xun, he had at least ten ways to interpret it. Interpreting Robin's mission was a piece of cake.

"Mm... I want to!"

Robin nodded vigorously, then looked at Pei Guang with shining eyes.

Feeling her pure gaze, Pei Guang nodded: "I understand. Is this dream mission asking you to achieve these things? No problem, very simple. Reality is a bit hard, but doing this in a dreamscape, I am a professional."

This wasn't Pei Guang bragging: with the experience of causing trouble in memory worlds twice before, Pei Guang actually felt Robin's mission was very simple.

Robin: "But I don't know what to do..."

Pei Guang: "I'll teach you. Come, let's start with this little bird first."

Robin looked at Pei Guang with great anticipation. However, Pei Guang didn't heal the little Charmony Dove in her hand directly.

Instead, he turned around and started looking for something in the yard.

She saw with her own eyes as if Pei Guang had X-ray vision turned on. He entered a room, went up and kicked over a trash can inside, fishing out a medical kit from the trash can in the yard.

Although it was dreaming, the dreamscape couldn't deviate from the dreamer's cognition.

Robin had seen some of Pei Guang's abilities, but kicking over a trash can and directly kicking out a medical kit was something she saw for the first time in a dreamscape.

However, this was just the beginning.

She watched Pei Guang rummage through chests and cupboards in her home, even kicking over the Dreammaster himself and rummaging through his belongings.

That's right, in the dreamscape, Pei Guang couldn't use items from reality, but as a player, even starting from scratch in a dreamscape, he was fearless.

Compared to a desert start, Pei Guang felt that starting with such a big house was pretty good. At the very least, after rummaging around for a while, he found quite a few clothes and food.

Various materials allowed him to show off his skills in the dreamscape!

After exploring around and finding medical supplies, Pei Guang returned to Robin.

Under the gaze of Robin's big eyes, Pei Guang used the medical kit on the injured bird.

A real medical kit would be used on people by Pei Guang, not on birds, but that only referred to a normal state medical kit.

For a player, isn't using a medical kit just walking up to the target and going through the motions?

And so, witnessed by Robin, Pei Guang went through the motions with the medical kit, and then the medical kit disappeared, and the bird in her hand was healed.

Robin fell silent.

She was wondering whether this dream was her dream or Pei Guang's dream? Even in a dreamscape, it shouldn't be this outrageous, right? Just going through the motions and it's done?

Pei Guang ignored Robin's silence and taught her seriously: "See~ The treatment is complete like this. Don't panic when encountering difficulties; you need to explore the surroundings more. The containers around will definitely yield items helpful to your current stage.

Besides these obviously directional quest items, maybe you can find a lot of other useful stuff. Here~ like this dress, see if it's pretty? It's for you."

Robin was speechless, because she had watched Pei Guang open her wardrobe and openly stow away her clothes, and now he was giving them to her?

It was only because she had some understanding of Pei Guang, plus this was a dreamscape; otherwise, she would definitely call the police to arrest this 'pervert' Pei Guang.

After a long silence, Robin looked at the recovered bird in her hand, and a happy expression reappeared on her face: "That's great. This way, this little bird can live freely, right?"

Pei Guang shook his head: "No no no! Not enough. In this dangerous nature, curing it only gives it the ability to move freely, but we haven't given it the ability to survive."

"Hmm?"

Robin vaguely felt that something was amiss.

She really wanted to end this dream quickly, but because she had been captured as material and her consciousness was completely imprisoned, this dreamscape wasn't something she could dismiss just because she wanted to.

She could only helplessly watch Pei Guang's actions.

Pei Guang: "Look, there are definitely many natural enemies in nature. If we don't ensure it has enough ability to face natural enemies, what will it do when it encounters them later? Since I accepted its quest, I must do it perfectly. I can't let my own negligence cause it to suffer regrets and pain in the future.

Come on, Little Jiu, train with me. Let's strive to survive together."

Pei Guang naturally named this little bird "Little Jiu", and this little Charmony Dove also felt the imposing aura coming from Pei Guang.

It hopped around chirping, as if telling Pei Guang that it would train hard and strive to live on.

Pei Guang: "Very good! Full of spirit. Come on! I have devised a series of training plans for you. Let us conquer nature together!"

Robin: "This is my..."

Pei Guang: "Do you have a better way for it to face nature?"

Robin: "..."

Pei Guang: "If not, then listen to me. I am definitely more dedicated to doing quests than you."

Robin: "Um… how about I do it? Okay?"

Pei Guang looked at Robin vigilantly: "You want me to accept a quest and not do it? Impossible, absolutely impossible. Unless you give me a better reward, no one can stop me from doing quests. This is my principle."

Robin felt Pei Guang's principles were a bit strange.
