Chapter 114 - Chapter 113: Hold on, Naruto! Your Fate can Only be Decided by Yourself!

Konoha — Back Mountain.

A narrow gorge had been carved by human hands into the cliffside, connecting the mountain wall to a lake below. From that gap, a torrent of water surged downward, its rapid descent creating a natural waterfall that struck the rocks below with deafening intensity.

The air was cool and moist; mist rose with every impact of the falling water, veiling the area in a silvery fog.

Beneath the crashing waterfall sat a small figure.

Naruto had removed his upper clothing, exposing his lean frame to the freezing water as he sat cross-legged, his teeth gritted tightly. Every drop of water that slammed against his shoulders felt like a hammer blow, yet he did not move.

He breathed deeply, forcing himself to endure.

*Shhhhhh!*

The sound of water crashing on stone mixed with the boy's ragged breaths. His entire body trembled under the strain. His arms shook, his spine arched slightly, but still, he did not falter.

"Hang in there, Naruto."

The voice came from nearby — calm, confident, and quietly firm.

It was Namikaze Mirai.

Standing on a flat boulder at the base of the waterfall, his white cloak fluttered slightly in the breeze. His sharp blue eyes watched his nephew's trembling form with both pride and restrained concern.

Just as Naruto's arms began to lower and his concentration started to waver, Mirai's encouragement seemed to strike something deep inside him.

'Uncle is watching me… I can't disappoint him.'

Naruto clenched his fists tighter, forcing himself to remain still. His breath came out in small bursts, teeth chattering as the water's chill sank into his bones.

For two more long, grueling minutes, the boy held on. Then, his strength gave out completely.

*Splash!*

The current swept him away in an instant.

Mirai moved faster than the eye could follow. In a single motion, he caught the small, soaked body before it hit the rocks. Lifting Naruto gently, he looked down at him, his expression softening.

"Naruto, how do you feel?" he asked, his tone laced with concern.

Naruto's eyes were half-open, his face pale, but even in exhaustion, there was an unmistakable spark of determination.

Seeing him like this made Mirai's chest tighten slightly. He was proud of the boy's resolve — and yet, as his uncle, it hurt to watch his nephew push himself to the limit like this.

Still, there was no helping it. Without forging both body and will through such intensity, there was no way Naruto could meet the requirements for training the Electro-Magnetic Drive.

"Uncle," Naruto gasped, blinking up weakly. "How long did I last this time?"

Mirai smiled faintly. "Seven minutes. Two minutes longer than last time."

Naruto's eyes widened with surprise. "Oh! That's great!"

Despite being drenched and shivering, he almost jumped up from excitement. Every second of progress, no matter how small, meant everything to him.

Mirai chuckled lightly, reaching out to ruffle Naruto's golden hair, which clung to his forehead in wet strands.

"Don't get ahead of yourself, Naruto. Your mother, Kushina, could smash an entire wall with one punch." Mirai said, a teasing note in his voice. "And that kind of strength still doesn't meet my expectations for you."

Naruto's mouth dropped open, his sapphire-blue eyes shining with disbelief. "Huh? Mom's that amazing?"

He blinked several times. "But Uncle, didn't you always say Mom was a really gentle person?"

Mirai coughed lightly, looking away as an awkward smile crept onto his face. "Well… gentle when she's gentle."

Images of Kushina's fiery red hair whipping around like living flames flashed through his mind, followed by the memory of a single punch that had sent him flying across a training yard years ago. He winced slightly.

'Gentle when she's gentle… terrifying when she's not.'

Still smiling, he looked back at Naruto, who was now sitting cross-legged again on the damp grass, chest heaving as he recovered.

Mirai's gaze slowly dropped to the boy's lower abdomen. His expression hardened.

'The Nine-Tails… it's still not cooperating.'

In his estimation, if the Nine-Tails even provided a fraction of its chakra to assist, Naruto's physical resilience would skyrocket — his training progress would be ten times faster.

"This fox clearly knows what I'm thinking," Mirai muttered under his breath, "but it's pretending to sleep just to watch and laugh."

He smirked faintly. "Seems I'll have to remind it what happens when it gets cocky."

Inside the Sealing Space.

Within Naruto's subconscious, a vast iron cage loomed in a crimson haze. Enormous sheets of sealing tags hung like chains across the bars, flickering with ancient scripts of power.

Behind them, the Nine-Tailed Fox lay sprawled lazily on the ground, its nine tails swaying rhythmically in the air. Its molten-red eyes gleamed faintly in the dim light.

The great beast gave a low rumbling chuckle.

'That brat's still training, huh?'

It closed its eyes, smirking to itself. 'How amusing… watching him suffer under that waterfall every day might be my favorite entertainment yet.'

The fox's massive tails twitched with delight as it remembered its last encounter with Namikaze Mirai — an encounter that had ended, rather humiliatingly, with its head slammed into the cage wall by a technique of his.

'Heh… this is my revenge.' it thought smugly. 'Let the boy suffer while I relax.'

But suddenly, the temperature in the sealing space dropped.

The Nine-Tails' ears twitched. It sensed something unnatural.

A familiar presence had entered.

The fox's red eyes snapped open just as a tall figure appeared at the far end of the cage, walking calmly toward it.

Namikaze Mirai.

"Damn it!" The Nine-Tails shot upright, its fur bristling. "Namikaze Mirai! What do you want this time?!"

Its voice reverberated like thunder, but Mirai didn't flinch. He simply stepped closer, his eyes gleaming coldly in the dim glow.

"Tell me, Nine-Tails," Mirai said evenly, "is it really that amusing to watch my nephew suffer?"

The fox bared its fangs, its enormous form looming over him like a mountain. "You bastard! Do you really think I'm afraid of you?!"

With a roar, it lunged forward, its jaws wide open, snapping toward him in fury.

*Whoosh!*

A flash of blue light erupted.

Before the Nine-Tails could even blink, Mirai's figure vanished.

Then, bam!

A crushing impact struck the back of its head, followed by a surge of overwhelming force. The beast's massive body slammed face-first into the ground, the entire sealing space trembling under the blow.

For a long moment, the Nine-Tails lay there, dazed and seething. Its tails twitched weakly.

Outside, Mirai slowly withdrew his palm from Naruto's abdomen, opening his eyes. A faint smile curved his lips.

"Try again, Naruto."

Naruto blinked in surprise. "So soon? I just rested…"

"Listen to your uncle." Mirai said calmly. "Maybe this time, there will be a surprise."

Naruto tilted his head, puzzled — but the confidence in Mirai's tone stirred his curiosity.

A surprise?

He nodded and once again took position beneath the waterfall.

*Crash!*

The freezing current struck him instantly, pounding against his shoulders and back like a barrage of kunai. His body trembled violently — yet, just as he was about to falter again, a sudden warmth bloomed in his lower abdomen.

His breath caught.

The fatigue and pain melted away, replaced by a pulsing vitality.

'What… what is this? Is this the surprise uncle meant?'

It was as if a vast furnace had ignited inside him, sending out waves of energy that coursed through his limbs. His muscles relaxed, then strengthened; every nerve hummed with new life.

Mirai's eyes narrowed slightly, watching closely.

"Good." he murmured. "Now that you can withstand this much, Naruto… Uncle will teach you a traning system that transcends that of a ninja."

Naruto's eyes flew open. "A training system that transcends that of a ninja?!"

His heart began to pound.

At nearly four years old, he had already seen Sasuke smugly showing off his chakra control exercises at the Academy's edge, often sneering that Naruto couldn't even mold chakra properly yet.

The thought of learning something beyond the ninja system — something even that smug Sasuke couldn't touch — sent excitement rushing through him.

"Really, uncle?!" he shouted over the roar of the waterfall.

Mirai's voice was steady. "Concentrate. Feel the tremor of every cell in your body."

He placed his palm against the falling stream.

Instantly, the water erupted with arcs of blue lightning. Sparks danced across its surface, the current transforming into a glowing cascade of energy.

Naruto screamed as the electricity coursed over him. "Ouch! It stings!"

The sensation was unbearable — as though countless tiny needles pricked every inch of his body. Yet beneath the pain, there was also something else: a faint vibration, a rhythm, a pulse.

Mirai observed intently, his expression grave.

This was the Electro-Magnetic Drive, the foundation of the Magnetic Field System — the power he had developed beyond the limits of conventional ninjutsu.

By focusing the will to stimulate the body's cellular friction, it generated natural bio-electricity. A Magnetic Field user didn't rely solely on chakra but on willpower and molecular control — a power that stood above ordinary shinobi systems.

Naruto's body trembled under the intensity, arcs of light flickering faintly around him.

Mirai folded his arms, watching the scene with quiet determination. 'This child possesses something unique… something hidden deep inside his spirit. It's subtle — almost concealed within his soul's frequency.'

That strange spiritual force… Mirai had sensed it long ago.

And he refused to let it influence his nephew's path.

If Naruto was destined to be influenced by that unseen power, Mirai would simply forge him into someone strong enough to resist it.

"Magnetic Field experts," Mirai whispered, his eyes sharp as lightning, "are people whose will surpasses even their chakra."

He clenched his fist.

"Hold on, Naruto! Your fate can only be decided by yourself!"

Naruto, on the verge of fainting from pain, heard Mirai's voice echo within his mind.
