The fact that she wasn't infertile had eliminated her inner anxiety all this time. In a good mood, Kei again showed her bold side. She pulled Charlie's collar, inviting him to start the next round right under the noses of passing adventurers.
How could Charlie refuse?
Inside the illusion barrier not far from the corridor, a pair of lovers busily exchanged microbial flora and genetic material carriers, as if there were no other people around them.
The atmosphere inside that illusion dome was so intense, as if the outside world had vanished and only the two of them remained. Unfortunately, the duration this time wasn't as long as before—only about thirty minutes.
That was normal; Kei who was only Level 1 wouldn't be able to drain Charlie who was Level 6 dry.
"How's your condition, Kei? Feeling better?"
After the next half hour was used to tidy themselves up and regulate their breathing, Charlie asked Kei who now looked much fresher.
"Um. My mind has recovered, I can continue fighting." Kei answered seriously.
There was a flash of determination in her eyes. This was no longer about intimacy—this was about proving herself. Kei wanted to show that she wasn't just a weak girl, that she could stand as an equal, that she could be useful.
"In that case—"
Before Charlie finished speaking, his perception senses caught the presence of three people walking through the corridor in front of them. The group consisted of two Amazonesses wearing vulgar clothing typical of their race, and a human man who appeared to be the group's leader.
"Hey, Kei, try using your magic on them."
Following the direction Charlie pointed, Kei confirmed her target.
"Is that okay?"
Doubt was implicit in her eyes. Using magic on other adventurers without provocation—this was different from training against monsters or dead targets. These were humans.
"Yeah. However, not a deadly curse."
"I understand. I'll try it."
Kei stood up from the beanbag with legs that still felt slightly trembling from previous activities. Taking a deep breath, she focused her mind. Without leaving the illusion barrier, she directed her right hand toward the male adventurer walking in front.
"Myriad Curse!"
*ZING!*
An invisible and undetectable curse shot out from the illusion barrier, piercing the air and striking precisely at that male adventurer's solar plexus.
"ARKHHHH!!!"
Instantly, the male adventurer screamed hysterically like a pig being slaughtered. His body collapsed to the ground, his hands clutching his stomach tightly while his legs thrashed wildly. His facial expression contorted uglily, enduring something far beyond the threshold of reason.
"Anthony!"
"Hey, what's happening to you?!"
Both Amazonesses were stunned seeing their companion suddenly experiencing severe physical tantrum without any visible physical attack.
"It hurts, hurts, hurts, hurts! Arkhhhh....!!!"
Anthony couldn't answer his companions' concerns. His mind was paralyzed by tremendous pain striking his stomach and waist area. He even started banging his head on the ground just to divert focus from that pain, but it was futile.
The pain he felt now was the most severe he had ever experienced in his entire life.
"What kind of curse did you give him?" Charlie turned toward Kei with raised eyebrows.
Previously, he had bought a Grimoire from Riveria Ljos Alf specifically for Kei.
That Grimoire was a major investment. Riveria didn't sell Grimoires carelessly. But for Kei, Charlie was willing to spend his wealth.
Myriad Curse was the original magic Kei awakened from that Grimoire.
Like Bell Cranel's Fire Bolt, this magic was instant activation type without chanting. However, instead of attack-based magic, Kei's magic allowed her to release curses whose type depended entirely on the user's imagination.
This was Myriad Curse's special feature. Not just an energy projectile, but channeling imagination. As long as Kei could imagine it clearly, that curse could manifest.
Myriad Curse sounded terrifying, but there were limitations. The stronger the curse type and target, the greater the Mana consumption. For example, instant death curse type, Kei couldn't use it even on ordinary people because it drained Mana in astronomical amounts.
A fair balance. This magic gave her extraordinary flexibility, but also bound her to limited resources.
While flipping her slightly disheveled long white hair, Kei answered calmly.
"That man is experiencing the pain of uterine contractions during childbirth."
Although her level was still low, because this type of curse didn't cause death or direct physical injury, its Mana consumption was very minimal.
Kei wasn't even out of breath. That curse, however terrible its effect, was merely an illusion of pain—there was no real physical damage.
"Hiisss..." Hearing that, Charlie inhaled cold air and looked at Anthony with sympathy.
(No wonder that man is hysterical. Turns out, he's experiencing the childbirth experience. Terrifying...)
In many experiments using muscle stimulator machines, men given uterine contraction simulation often gave up at medium level, long before reaching full dilation level.
To give an idea, childbirth pain was equivalent to breaking twenty bones simultaneously!
"Let's return to the surface!"
"Yes!"
One Amazoness immediately hoisted Anthony on her back—the man was now unconscious with white eyes and foaming mouth due to pain shock. Her other companion stood guard with weapon drawn, afraid of unseen monster attacks.
They ran toward the stairs, panicked and confused. In their entire adventuring life in the Dungeon, they had never seen a companion dying from a ghost attack.
Not long after those three adventurers departed, Charlie released the illusion barrier.
The cold Dungeon air greeted their skin again. In the distance, Goblin howls could be heard.
"What do you think, Charlie-san?" Kei asked with sparkling eyes hoping for praise.
Her large eyes looked full of hope, her white ponytail swaying slightly. Behind her calm demeanor when answering, she clearly wanted validation.
"Amazing. You're very creative using your magic, Kei."
Charlie's smile was sincere. That curse's effectiveness was beyond his expectations.
"I just thought that type of curse would be very effective against men. The results prove it's true."
Kei smiled satisfied, her eyes squinting happily. Praise from Charlie felt more valuable than gold.
"Alright, let's continue exploring. Today, you'll go down to Floor 5."
With that, Charlie and Kei descended to deeper floors.
