Adeline was deep in a dreamless sleep, her body exhausted from days of planning her escape and fending off her nosy brother. She had barely closed her eyes when an ear-splitting voice tore through the silence.
"Get up!" the Goddess shouted, her voice echoing like a thunderclap in Adeline's head.
