I can understand some of the defense tactics used by the Dark Elves and Dryads. To survive in this underground cave, they only need one entrance and one exit.
The glowing vines that cover the entrance of the underground cave leading to the underground forest are the first line of defense to detect threats entering the underground cave.
That first defense was a little weak against the stealth slime herd, but I was grateful for it after it became the key to finding the long-lost Dark Elf race.
