Longyearbyen
The sea was calm that night, the waves moving gently under the red moon. From the dark water, a figure began to rise. Step by step, Gaia walked out of the sea. Each step made small ripples of light spread around her feet, like the ocean itself welcomed her home.
It was already late. The small city of Longyearbyen was quiet, most humans asleep in their warm houses. In small towns, people rest early. The streets were empty, and only the sound of the sea and the wind could be heard.
However, by the shore, four women sat together near a small fire that was almost out. Medusa, Aleysia, Artemis, and Amphitrite. Their laughter had faded, and now they only watched the waves in silence. From them, Gaia could feel the power that still flowed strong, old, divine, and alive.
She frowned slightly, watching them from a distance before speaking, her voice deep and calm. "What are you four doing here?" The sound startled them. None of them had noticed her coming.
