**In the Auction House Waiting Room**
Yafei sat gracefully on a chair, her right foot resting on her left leg, revealing a tantalizing glimpse of white skin beneath her long red cheongsam.
Mo Yu had decided to visit the Miter Auction House before leaving. He wanted to buy some travel supplies, see Yafei, and ensure his grandfather was not left alone.
At that moment, Yafei was looking at a long roll of paper and then turned to the handsome young man beside her with astonishment. "Brother Mo Yu, how did you manage to gather so many supplies for the wild? Are you planning a long journey?"
"Yes, I will be leaving Wutan City in a few days and might not return for a while," Mo Yu replied with a chuckle as he sipped his tea.
"A long time?" Yafei was surprised and asked, "Are you going on a long journey with your master?"
Mo Yu, acknowledging her mention of his fictional master, simply chuckled and nodded.
"With your talent for cultivation, it would be challenging to become a truly strong person if you stay in Wutan City," Yafei said softly, nodding slightly.
Mo Yu nodded in agreement. Yafei took the card, summoned a maid, handed her the card and paper, and instructed her to handle the matter promptly.
"Once I leave, I hope the Miter Auction House will take good care of the Xiao family and my grandfather. If you need any help in the future, Mo Yu will gladly assist," Mo Yu said, looking at the charming woman in front of him.
"Alright," Yafei replied, her mind clearly processing his promise.
There was a brief silence as the two of them contemplated the parting.
After a quarter of an hour of quiet reflection, Mo Yu noticed a maid moving quickly outside the gauze curtain, stood up, and said with a chuckle, "I'm leaving now. This might be the last time I visit before I say goodbye."
Yafei extended her jade hand, gently patted Mo Yu's shoulder, and then unexpectedly stepped forward. Wrapping her arms around him in a hug, she said in a charming voice, "This is the interest you get from teasing me."
Mo Yu, surprised but pleased, embraced her in return, savoring the soft touch of her waist. After a moment, he released her, waved goodbye, and turned to leave.
"Yafei, see you again if we're lucky!" Mo Yu called out as he walked away.
Watching his figure disappear around the corner, Yafei's blush slowly faded. She traced the spot where Mo Yu had touched her, feeling a faint warmth lingering.
"Damn little guy, taking advantage of me again!" Yafei muttered to herself, feeling a strange sensation in her heart.
After leaving the auction house, Mo Yu recalled the soft touch and felt somewhat distracted.
"No wonder those with the Tiangang Thunder Body can't resist such temptations. This feeling is truly wonderful," Mo Yu thought, momentarily lost in the sensation before shaking his head to refocus.
No matter what, strength is the foundation of everything. Without it, even a goddess—or a person weighing 300 pounds—could insult you at will.
With all his supplies prepared, Mo Yu spent his remaining two days in a peaceful manner, enjoying the quiet and spending time with the elderly around him. His grandfather seemed to sense Mo Yu's thoughts, muttering about various things. While most of what he said seemed like nonsense to Mo Yu, he listened quietly.
Mo Yu's recent silence also made the usually willful Xiao Yu realize something. Whenever she had free time, she would follow Mo Yu, her eyes reflecting deep reluctance and attachment.
Walking along the family path, Mo Yu stretched lazily. Today was the day he would leave, having just met Xun'er and learned the purpose of his journey.
"Cousin Mo Yu, according to your request, the forces behind me have thoroughly investigated and found that the Ten Thousand Beast Spirit Fire, ranked 22nd on the Strange Fire List, has appeared in the Ten Thousand Beast Valley of the Mulan Empire," Xun'er informed him.
Mo Yu felt a sense of relief. "The 22nd-ranked Ten Thousand Beast Spirit Fire? The Ten Thousand Beast Valley in the Mulan Empire—what good fortune."
Mo Yu had planned to consume a lower-ranked strange fire to help Xuan Lei reach its peak stage but had not been very hopeful. The Douqi Continent was vast, and the chances of finding strange fires outside of those mentioned in the original story were slim, which was why he had sought Xun'er's help.
Even with Xun'er's assistance, Mo Yu wasn't confident about locating the ancient clan behind her, and even if he did, the information might be too distant for him to act upon. Crossing the continent was dangerous, and asking Xun'er to deliver the strange fire directly wasn't something he could justify.
Fortunately, the strange fire's location had been found, and it was in the Ten Thousand Beast Valley of the Mulan Empire. The Mulan Empire was relatively close to the Jiama Empire, and the neighboring empires of the Izumo Empire were centered around the Canaan Academy.
Thus, traveling to the Mulan Empire at this time wasn't overly dangerous for Mo Yu.
Xun'er had also mentioned that the Ten Thousand Beast Spirit Fire had only recently formed. It was discovered by an elder of her tribe when passing through the northwest continent hundreds of years ago. Because it was still young and just a seed of strange fire, it hadn't been used.
This was good news for Mo Yu. Strange fire usually takes thousands of years to mature, and hundreds of years was merely the beginning of its growth period. A lower-ranked strange fire that was not yet at its prime was ideal for Mo Yu, as he wouldn't have to worry about Xuan Lei being overwhelmed by it.
Mo Yu followed his path back to his room. His supplies were minimal and had been packed into the Demon Frost Beast Ring, so there was little left to carry.
Standing at the door, Mo Yu looked at his grandfather, who was taking a peaceful nap. He smiled faintly as the last rays of sunlight faded through the door.
Sensing his grandson's gaze, after Mo Yu turned to leave, the old man slowly opened his eyes, took out a spirit tablet inscribed with the name "Mo Jingyun," and a deep reluctance showed in his aged eyes.
"Jingyun, Yu'er is leaving. You have a good son. If you see this in the afterlife, please bless Yu'er in seeking revenge..."
Mo Yu's departure went unnoticed by many. He, dressed in a green suit, walked out with empty hands and slowly disappeared at the end of the street under the respectful gaze of the family guards.
As he exited Wutan City, he spotted a young man waiting at a corner.
"Cousin Xiao Yan..."
