Chapter 382 - Chapter 382: Extreme Enhancement

Chapter 382: Extreme Enhancement

The Crimson Moon hung obliquely in the sky.

It recklessly cast its twisted, apocalyptic light,

indifferent to whether people hated it or feared it; it was always there.

It resembled a blood-red eye, looking down on the earth with a twisted, malevolent gaze.

Everyone wished for a cloud to appear and cover it.

Chris adjusted his breathing, looking in disbelief at the soldiers running alongside him.

Apart from his weapon and light leather armor, Chris carried nothing else, with at most ten pounds of burden on him.

But every Bay Territory soldier he saw, even while running, was fully armed, looking more relaxed than him.

What Chris didn't realize was that this was the difference between an amateur and a professional!

No matter how hard Chris trained on his own, how diligently he equipped himself and learned various skills,

as a lone adventurer, he inevitably had to spread his focus too thin.

But for the soldiers of Bay Territory,

they were all part of a cohesive whole.

Mastery in just their specific responsibilities was enough to make them qualified.

What does it mean to be proficient?

Marching had the "Long Trek" feat.

Endurance had the "Well-Trained" feat.

Stamina had the "Endless Vitality" feat.

Depending on each soldier's skill level, these specialized feats were incorporated into their daily training.

They were professional soldiers!

Professional killing machines specializing in marching and warfare!

And now, these 800 men on the march were the elite among the elite!

Besides Chris, the other adventurers were also struggling to keep up.

After a busy day without rest, and now not having proper sleep, they were exhausted and weary.

However, all the adventurers gritted their teeth and pushed on, not just for the lucrative rewards, but to keep up with Bay Territory.

No one was a fool, and the best adventurers were even sharper!

Just when everyone thought they would have to keep running through the night,

with about two hours left before the Crimson Moon set, the soldiers suddenly stopped in unison.

"Everyone, enter the portable space cabins, starting now, you have one hour to rest."

The exhausted adventurers, fearing to make any noise, quietly followed the Bay Territory soldiers and entered the space cabins.

By now, they had all learned how to use the space cabins more efficiently.

Seeing this from afar, Chris, full of doubt, approached the portable space cabin.

Wasn't the enemy camp just ahead?

It was almost dawn; if they were discovered, it would be dangerous.

Why stop to rest now?

Were they here to scout?

Or were they planning to set a trap?

Countless thoughts flashed through Chris's mind.

He could never have imagined that soon, his understanding of large-scale warfare would undergo a complete transformation.

One hour later.

The Bay Territory soldiers, revitalized with nutrient potions and mentally relaxed, swiftly assembled outside.

Matthew stood at the front, turned to face them, his eyes filled with expectation, and nodded to Angela:

"Begin."

Angela slowly drew her longsword, a shimmering light enveloping each Bay Territory soldier, extending to the adventurers as well.

An invisible force surrounded everyone.

They felt their bodies grow stronger, their armor and weapons becoming lighter.

The experienced adventurers couldn't help but exclaim:

"Strength Aura?"

Strength Aura, a rare basic aura, strength +2!

As the words fell,

a bright blue light enveloped them.

Agility Aura, a rare basic aura, agility +2!

Then, a pale green light descended.

Endurance Aura, a rare basic aura, constitution +2!

Besides the three basic attribute auras, there were also:

Mid-level Charge Aura and Advanced Bravery Aura!

Everyone felt a surge of power in their bodies, eager for battle.

At that moment, Matthew finished his incantation and pointed his staff at them:

"Mass Haste!"

Matthew tore open another scroll, releasing torrential magic that turned into blazing flames, swirling around the astonished soldiers, forming a bright crimson Flame Shield.

"Seventh-level Spell - Mass Flame Shield!"

The dazzling light covered every soldier, and Angela pointed her longsword at the distant troll camp:

"We have one goal: to charge into the troll army and take down the Troll Warlord!"

Her clear voice ignited a fighting spirit in every soldier.

They drew their weapons in unison, following Beelzebub's lead as they charged toward the troll camp!

Such an obvious movement immediately alerted the troll camp.

The Bay Territory soldiers were too close, and only the troll patrols managed to react, moving to intercept.

But in just a few breaths, they were cut down by the glowing Bay Territory soldiers.

At this moment, with all basic attributes increased by 10 points, reaching the limit of their current enhancement, the soldiers thoroughly overwhelmed the ordinary troll troops.

They relentlessly charged toward the heart of the troll camp.

Every troll that stood in their way was torn apart by their sharp blades.

Occasionally, groups of trolls tried to form a defense line, only to be scattered by the heavy-armored soldiers wielding massive swords!

Trolls from all around tried to flank them from the sides or approach from behind.

Matthew, standing in the middle of the formation, calmly raised his hand.

Whoosh!

Three towering walls of fire shot up, instantly engulfing dozens of approaching trolls.

They howled in agony, clearly on the brink of death.

Their stubborn vitality kept them from dying immediately.

Staggering out of the flames, they served as living torches, setting fires throughout the troll camp.

The Troll Warlord, startled awake by the chaos, had just woken up.

Before he could gather his guards, several roaring fireballs were already flying toward him.

Instinct saved his life, as the Troll Warlord used his guards as a shield, avoiding the direct impact of the fireball spell.

His head buzzed, completely unaware of what was happening!

The army still had a whole day's march to their destination; how had they come under attack already?

Before he could figure it out, several walls of fire rose around his position.

The troll guards rushed into the fire, dozens of them burning alive, unable to break through.

Panicking, the Troll Warlord drew his weapon, roaring in fury:

"Come! Kill me, you cowards!!"

Thud!

Crack!

Half a mutilated body fell before him, blood splattering as the Troll Warlord's roar abruptly ceased.

As the flames subsided, Beelzebub, covered in blood, charged forward with dozens of Bay Territory elites.

The Troll Warlord stared in shock, instinctively stepping back, his knees giving way as he knelt to the ground:

"Spare me!"
