After we left the wedding chapel we went to back to ben Franklin Park and we went to the tiny shack and entered the portal, we left the portal lobby and we went into the town square.
Once again I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the things I saw in undertown, even though I had been there before it was still so seeing elves and dwarves and fairy's walking about...
As we walked across the square we stopped at a fountain when I looked around a bit and let out a slight sigh, trying to keep calm, there was a bit of anxiety building in me. I saw the road where that house huge goblin nearly killed Lisa.
I starred at it for a good ten or twenty seconds, I couldn't help but feel my heart pound.
Lisa looked over at me.
"Darling? You ok?..."
Before I could answer I heard a female voice yell out. "It's Jack Turner!"
"Huh?"
Suddenly a crowed gatherd around me, suddenly I felt someone grab my arm, I looked and there was a beautiful elven girl with a vary curvy figure, tan skin and reddish brown eyes clinging to me. "Hi there! I'm nina. I'm nineteen, I have a huge thing for hero's and I'm single, what about you? Also can I have an autograph?"
'oh God I am a harem protagonist!'
"Uhhhh.... "
Suddenly Lisa grabbed my other arm.
"He's taken, get out of here tramp."
"Hey! Don't call me a tramp!"
Lisa rolled her eyes.
"You certainly dress like one"
The elven girl was wearing a pretty revealing outfit, it was a brown and white, and tight enough to hug around all her curves.
"Guys um-"
Then another guy tapped my shoulder.
"Hey man can I get an autograph! Also is it true you have a seal?"
"Uhhh... "
Both girls started pulling on both sides of me. "Well at least I'm not dressed like some preppy!"
Lisa then grinned.
"He happens to like this style don't you jack?"
"Well I uh-"
"Tell her your mine."
I looked at her.
"I'm flattered but, she IS my girlfriend... "
I sed calmly.
The beautiful dark skinned elf frowned and let go. "Well, your loss... "
She walked off and I let out a sigh, and looked over at Lisa who was glaring at her.
"Down girl."
"Everyone wants my man."
"I'm not that much of a catch... And also I can't believe how many people are here asking for my autograph, it's not that big a deal-"
Meanwhile the guy who asked for an autograph was still behind me, he looked like he was getting impatient.
"Dude I'm a nobody... "
"Please."
So I reluctantly signed his jacket, he left and ran over to a group of hunters who I assumed was his friends.
I then put my hands in my pockets and came closer to her, she sighed. "You slayed a goblin lord without ever going on a hunt and saved undertown from being utterly destroyed, what do you expect?"
I looked at her for a moment then gave a nod. "Well when you put it that way I guess I can understand, but still... I'm not someone you should look up too."
She looked at me for a second.
"You... Really have a low opinion of yourself don't you?"
"..."
There was a pause
Then.
"Alright alright everyone break it up-"
I recognized that voice, I looked and saw a tall, good looking Asian guy walk up to me along with three girls following him.
"Leave him alone guys... He clearly doesn't know how to react to fame."
Suddenly everyone gasped and whisperd his name. "It's ryuji takanowa!"
Another random girl screamed his name.
He came up to me wearing a blue jacket and a white shirt with jeans. "Nice to see you again Jack, Lisa."
He gave us a warm smile,
I shook his hand and so did Lisa.
"So a little birdie told me your first hunt is today."
"Yeah I guess... " I scratched the back of my head.
"Mind if we join together and form a party?"
I looked at Lisa.
"Hey Lisa's the leader here, ask her."
She smiled and gave a nod.
"Of course, just as long as your little harem behaves themselves And not fight over you"
A black haired Japanese girl spoke up.
"Hey we don't do that... A lot."
She crossed her arms defensively.
"Ok, let's introduce ourselves."
She sed calming herself down.
"I'm shoko minori."
She walked up and shook my hand.
"It's nice to meet you formally Jack san."
"Nice to meet you too."
A white haired elf came up.
"I'm Elena. It's a pleasure."
Her voice was calm and smooth, her face was almost completely expressionless.
I gave a nod.
And then a Red haired woman in red battle armor came up, she gave a quick smile.
"Lana's the name. Don't wear it out."
She gave me a slap on the back.
I saw Yoko standing just a little bit off looking at her gauntlet, it was projecting something though I couldn't quite make it out, she then looked back up and gave us a smile.
"Ara~ nice to see you again little sister, same to you jack."
I smiled a little and gave a nod.
"Before we go, we have to get Jack his gauntlet, we're gonna go to Sophia's."
"Who's Sophia?" I asked.
"Sophia is my personal alchemist, she also is vary high tech, she has her own shop down here, she even lives in undertown. I already made an appointment for you to get fitted for one darling."
"Alright... Wait, um... How much is it?"
Lisa smiled a bit.
"Well she obviously doesn't get payed in u.s dollars. We pay her in metta."
"Metta?"
"It's basically the currency here, one metta is the equivalent of one doller."
"I see... How much does it cost for one of those gauntlets?"
"Depends... But usually there about five hundred metta."
"Five hundred metta?! So that's like half a grand!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah, don't worry I'm paying for it my love."
"I... I can't, nope. I can't have you pay for me'
"It's ok, besides no means no entry to the mines, it's used to track you just in case you get lost and it also is an essential tool, York Hunter's licence is on there too."
Jack looked at her and felt a wave of guilt fall on him. "I... I... Fine. Ok I'll let you pay for it, but let me at least work it off for you."
She looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Your my boyfriend, I can spend money on you if I want, regardless of wether or not you pay me back."
"Please."
She just starred at him for a little bit, then got an idea. "Ok, pay me back by taking me out on a date tomorrow ok?"
"That's it? I mean we've already went on dates before-"
"Yes, but I want a super romantic one.
At a fancy Italian restaurant with roses and non-alcoholic champagne." She smirked and grabbed my arm.
I smiled back at her.
"Alright... "
Shoko looked at us and shook her head.
"Can we please stop with all the lovey-dovey couple stuff and go now?"
Elena nodded.
"Yes it's quite a distraction, we have monsters to slay and not a lot of time."
Yoko walked up behind ryuji and placed her hands on her hips. "Aww... Let them be, besides we all know we'd do the same with ryuji if he just chose one of us already."
They all went silent.
Obviously she struck a nerve with all the girls and ryuji, She seemed like she didn't even care and smirked.
"Let's go everyone."
Ryuji sed walking forward towards what I assumed the direction was Sophia's shop.
The girls all glared at her as she walked behind ryuji, Meanwhile I let out a sigh.
"Yeah I'm never letting that happen."
Lisa smiled.
"Good."
We followed behind them.
