Upon hearing Darline's report, Jing Shu's eyes lit up. So this works too? It seems Mayer has some potential after all.
Jing Shu nodded, made sure that there was no electricity left in the big lump, and then let Darline lead Mayer away. Before they left, Jing Shu said to Darline:
"Mayer is more valuable alive than dead, so I've decided to take him back to Huaxia. Of course, I promised you before that I would take you back safely to Huaxia, and that still holds, but in the meantime, I hope you can teach Mayer some Huaxia language; otherwise, communication would be quite cumbersome."
Darline nodded and said, "Alright." Then she hesitated.
Jing Shu was puzzled, "What's the matter?"
The black plump woman finally plucked up the courage and said, "Can you also feed me that insect? Otherwise, I wouldn't feel at ease."
Jing Shu laughed silently.
