Others were waiting for the rest to wear each other down, fighting to the death for the first Saint Position, as the subsequent positions would be relatively easier.
And some, after a moment of silence, set their sights on the two Light Gates in the side halls.
Life only grants one chance. While the Saint Position was desirable, it also required surviving to sit on it; dying on the path would be worse than becoming a Semi-Saint, slowly enduring until potentially becoming a Saint on one's own.
