The search team quickly returned without any discoveries. This result secretly relieved the Major. No matter what, as long as nothing happened, it was fine. A Lieutenant looked cautiously at the sinkhole below, speaking with some concern, "Officer, I noticed earlier that there were as many people returning as there were coming; it's impossible for someone to hide nearby. If they were really the enemy, wouldn't it be unreasonable to just make a round and leave? Could they have tampered with the bottom of the sinkhole?"
"How can they do that without going down?" a Lieutenant next to him disdainfully whispered, fawningly glancing at the Major, continuing, "Chief, we all know what's below; it's indeed very important. We're not letting our guard down, but to say that without going down they could tamper with it, unless they were magicians."
"What if they threw a bomb?" The previous Lieutenant discontentedly argued.
