Upon hearing Lin Tian's name, Ling Xiao's eyes lit up; she turned to look at Lin Tian, but then she thought of something, and a trace of panic flashed in her eyes. She turned her head to avoid Lin Tian.
Miss exchanged glances with several women, then looked at Lin Tian. They all sighed inwardly, knowing well as women the conflicting emotions Ling Xiao was experiencing.
They understood that she was probably another woman secretly fond of Lin Tian, happy to see the person she likes, yet afraid he would see her haggard face.
A woman always wants to present her most beautiful side to the one she adores.
"Sister Ling Xiao, how are you feeling?" Lin Tian walked to the bedside and spoke gently.
"I... I'm fine..." Ling Xiao said nervously, probably not wanting Lin Tian to know she had become a cripple.
Ling Shuiyao, however, took over the conversation and said directly, "Sister Ling Xiao, Lin Tian is here to treat you, you can't hide your injuries."
