Jimmy's good mood in the morning was ruined by a phone call from Ruiz. After hanging up, he made sandwiches and wrapped them up, which were breakfast for him and Nia, only his portion was doubled.
When Nia finished freshening up, the two cuddled for a while before heading out to work.
Jimmy was already preparing; Nia's birthday was coming up soon and he was planning to surprise her, so they had been spending more time together lately, but he hadn't let anything slip.
At the office, he went straight to find Ruiz, "Any news now?"
Ruiz: "Preliminary judgment is indeed suicide; surveillance footage rules out the possibility of anyone entering his cell."
Jimmy: "How did he commit suicide?"
Ruiz: "Twisted his prison uniform into a rope and hanged himself on the bars."
Jimmy was speechless; what was going on? Arrested but not yet sentenced, only temporarily detained, without even a few rounds of interrogation, how could he suddenly commit suicide? Was he threatened?
