Jimmy: "OK, OK! I understand."
Ruiz could tell from Jimmy's expression that he was just being perfunctory, but this wasn't something that could be changed with a few words. For Jimmy, doing it himself was the most efficient approach, but that's not what his current position called for. It would have to be something that changed gradually over time.
Ruiz was being considerate, giving Jimmy a rundown on what the anti-gang unit should focus on and what tasks needed attention. These were things David was supposed to communicate with Jimmy before leaving, but... in short, Jimmy only had an office handover with David, leaving quite a few gaps. However, Jimmy himself didn't care much, so things just went on like that.
Jimmy went back to his office and gave Javier a call. Next up was waiting for the results of their search.
The first big move after joining the team needed to make an impact. If it didn't spark enough, it could cause some trouble later on.
