"A conspiracy?"
Ren Qing'an gasped as he heard these two words.
Chen Fang nodded.
He said, "I've read the report from the virus research institute. This virus, although mutated from bats, as Wei Jinhai told me, it's unlikely to mutate on its own. It's very likely to have been developed in a lab."
Ren Qing'an was even more shocked.
He swallowed and asked, "Are you saying that this virus outbreak was intentional?"
"Yes, although there's no conclusive evidence yet, that's my current hypothesis."
"I understand. You convened this standing committee meeting to make those who oppose your city lockdown jump out, right?"
Ren Qing'an asked.
Chen Fang nodded slightly and said, "From what I observed today, Fu Zhiquan and Wang Guoxiang were the most obvious."
"You're saying that the two of them might be involved in this?"
