"Where is this?" Mark asked as he felt everything was darkness. He couldn't feel his form, and worse, he didn't know where he was or how he got here.
His mind was blank, no memories, no thoughts, nothing to grasp. But Mark didn't have to wonder for long before his memories came rushing back, and immediately, everything brightened.
Finally, Mark saw his body.
Not the half-beast, half-god body he once had has his wolf form. And not his current god-race body either but his former human body.
He was curled up on the ground, completely naked, staring straight ahead.
Glitch…
Space shifted and distorted as visions of his past life began to play.
"Why this?" Mark asked.
But there was no response. Nothing. Just silence as Mark watched.
He was merely an observer or more precisely, a watcher.
He didn't understand why, but the more he watched, the more he remembered the past he had left behind.
The wars he had fought in.
The betrayal of his friends.
His coldness. His detachment.
