The white color of the snow filling the streets of Beach City contrasted with the red and green colors of the Christmas decorations adorning the shops alongside the houses in a winter expectation that Nora would never stop appreciating no matter how many times she witnessed it.
Nora nodded to herself with happiness as she entered her home, already expected by those important people in her life. Pearl was in the kitchen together with Amethyst chatting happily about past times while they decorated cookies of multiple designs. These cookies were devoured by Amethyst quickly once she finished decorating but strangely the cookies never ran out. It is worth noting that Pearl scolded Amethyst even if it was only to play along with the game. Garnet was not there at that moment but two little people she had only seen a few times before were present. Ruby and Sapphire were hugging while roasting marshmallows under a fireplace? Since when did we have a brick fireplace at home? She only shrugged her shoulders knowing who was responsible for the impossibilities.
Then there was her father wearing a Christmas sweater that made him look like a strangely serious imitation of Santa Claus. He was drinking hot chocolate with Connie's parents, the Mayor, Lars's parents, Sadie's mother, the father of Jenny and Kiki, the father of Peedee and Ronaldo as well as Mr. Smiley. They were chatting about who knows what things but they seemed to be enjoying their talks if the laughter was any indicator of this.
Following them were Connie, Sadie and Lars who were betting? On a game of Ping Pong between Jenny and Kiki? Once again she wondered where the Ping Pong table came from and how there was even space in her house for the table? Well she saw them enjoying themselves and not questioning things like she was so hey she could ignore that. Sour Cream and Buck were both also engaged in a game but this one was Foosball while Peedee and Ronaldo were playing a video game about some kind of Evil Santa. Okay clearly there were a lot of things in such little space but nothing seemed to be near each other. She only laughed a little while her gaze met the one responsible for all of this.
He looked at her with those amused eyes and she could only respond with a similar look before entering completely feeling how the cold of the snow dispersed because of the familiar warmth.
