Chapter 41 - Chapter 37: Did all move or not

--

The last ghost was the ghost of a gift. But slowly as the lessons trampled in not even the man started to learn, he learnt he was a piece of shit, but that was it.

"What you want ghost", said the man.

"Some sleep", said the man.

"Why'd you answer yourself", asked the ghost.

"Because I am satisfied with life enough as it is", said the man.

"You won't have to move in any way at all stay in that bed of yours", said the ghost.

As the man stayed in his bed shifting his perspective, he sees a whole new world and it feels like hes on top of the sky flying on thin air, this can't make him sleep even if he wanted too, he was just too scared for comfort flying from the sky holding his bed as his bed sheets flew off.

He sat there watched a world without him, but seemingly nothing changed. If a man only fought for himself as a way to prove for others, to know that their existence meant nothing would only deal a heavy blow, but to a man who fought for himself even after heaven gave him love, he is just gonna keep fighting til he loses his life in a fire, because that man didn't value time he valued something far beyond, he followed the madmans words.

Why, a man that was so insecure of his worth in life, wouldn't he be blown away to ash if he found out he only played as much of a role to other people as a pebble did to the butterfly effect, but what if he wanted to play a role for his own answers and his own selfish desires never really searching for companionship. Can a man like that understand love, or is he just so petty that he lost the meaning of it when his family were burnt to cinders?

As the man looked at a world without him, how Lefty and Righty were still being bossed around just not by him, how the snow still came even if he wasn't there to witness it, it just meant no eyes were ever on him, or that he just played his role as a cog too well.

"Would you change your ways if you got another chance at life", said the ghost.

"What you want me to say", asked the man tilting his tophat.

"What do you see that I don't see", asked the man.

"I miss the cold showers of the water hitting my ghostly skin, even when I get burned I don't feel the heat", said the ghost.

"I don't think I learned my lesson, the desire to not exist makes it easy to go on living because when you have no purpose anymore you can just live and accept your role, I was a bad man but to the riches I owned I showed how important I was that even I needed to be replaced for the company to still function", said the man.

"Doesn't that mean you didn't have worth", asked the ghost.

"A man can still like color if he only despises one color, a man can still like showering even if he hates cold showers, and a man can still like to live even if he doesn't take the living seriously, I don't feel anything because I never intended to impact these people in a positive way, am I so wrong", said the man.

"Did you ever have family", said the ghost and as he asked the man woke up from his slumber again, and checked if he was still alive a bit happier to know the latter. After waking up he chose to eat, take a cold shower in the tub and head to work a bit earlier than usual.

"Hey boss finished the paper work", said Lefty.

"You wanna visit family", said the tophat man.

"Y your family", said Lefty, while Righty was writing down his will to the boss for what he wants to do.

"Dunce, any family on your side, if not I got a party coming up where the people all around show, kinda wanna show how many workers I got, we can hit up the wine", said the tophat man.

"I wanna taste CAVIAR", said Righty.

"Sure on the house, be on time", said the tophat man as he left his store to begin the night in the ball.

"And I thought the desire to live was enough, who knew he wanted more", said the chimney ghost to the candle ghost, as the ghost of gifts was sleeping and death was calm observing.

"I don't regret a thing, maybe dropping him from that height changed his brain for the better", said the candle ghost. Fin.
