They were none other than Lan Si's cousin, Ye Lingling, and his girlfriend, Zhu Zhuqing.
Lan Si had been away for eight days on his "training" (or scouting), which had exceeded his usual time away. Both girls had grown worried. They decided to head to Heaven Dou City to inquire about his whereabouts, hoping to find him at the Great Spirit Arena. However, to their disappointment and concern, they learned that Lan Si hadn't participated in any spirit battles for nearly a month.
Both girls were the reserved and quiet type, not fond of socializing, but due to their connection to Lan Si, they had grown closer over time. As they spent more time together, their bond strengthened. Holding hands, their icy expressions gave no sense of discord, despite their cold exteriors.
Just as Lan Si noticed them, the two girls also spotted him.
Zhu Zhuqing was only momentarily surprised by his changed appearance before brushing it off. Her heart was already set on Lan Si, so no matter how good-looking another person was, she wouldn't give them a second glance. On the other hand, Ye Lingling halted and gave Lan Si a strange look.
"Lingling, do you know him?" Zhu Zhuqing asked, somewhat puzzled. As far as she knew, Ye Lingling didn't have friends, not even close ties with members of the Emperor Battle Team, except for Lan Si.
Ye Lingling first shook her head, then nodded, taking a deep breath. Her dark green eyes met Lan Si's, and after a moment of hesitation, she asked uncertainly, "Are you... Ah Si?"
Zhu Zhuqing was shocked, covering her mouth in disbelief. She looked at Ye Lingling and then at Lan Si, stunned. However, she knew Ye Lingling wasn't one to speak frivolously, so there must be a reason for her words. She silently waited for Lan Si to respond.
"Lingling, how did you recognize me?" Lan Si smiled warmly, slowly approaching Zhu Zhuqing and Ye Lingling. His handsome appearance and noble aura left both girls momentarily dazed.
Upon hearing his confirmation, Ye Lingling's icy face broke into a sweet smile. She walked up to him and habitually straightened his slightly messy clothes, smiling as she said, "You look a lot like my aunt when she was young. And... your eyes always have this habit of sneaking glances at Zhuqing and me."
"Uh..." Lan Si's face twitched slightly. The first reason made sense, but as for the second, well, what man wouldn't make such a mistake?
"Ahem..." He cleared his throat awkwardly, shifting his gaze to Zhu Zhuqing and smiling to change the subject. "What's wrong, Zhuqing? Don't you recognize me?"

"Even though the spirit looks similar, that's still not enough," Zhu Zhuqing shook her head, still wary.
"Well, this is awkward." Lan Si withdrew his spirit and spirit rings, rubbing his forehead in frustration. Then he turned to Zhu Zhuqing with a playful glint in his eye. "Zhuqing, it's easy to prove. But are you sure you want me to say it?"
After hesitating for a moment, Zhu Zhuqing nodded slowly.
"Alright then," Lan Si took a deep breath, an amused smile playing on his lips. "You have a small red birthmark on your left chest. And on the right side, just below your butt, there's a smaller one. You can barely see it unless you look closely. Also—"
"Stop! I believe you!" Hearing these embarrassing details, Zhu Zhuqing's face flushed bright red. Before Lan Si could finish, she threw herself into his arms, covering his mouth with her hand and burying her face in his chest.
These secrets were known to no one, not even her parents. Only Lan Si, who had explored every inch of her body that night in Suotuo City, could know. If anyone knew these details, it had to be him.
