"You're saying that the world utilizes an energy called 'Ki'?"
Listening to the young Creator describe the process of discovering this new realm, a peculiar expression flickered across George's face.
It turned out that the young Creator also enjoyed exploring the chaotic void. However, he wasn't foolish enough to leave his own world behind and wander alone; instead, he brought his world along with him. It was precisely because of this precaution that he hadn't been killed during his travels.
As luck would have it, he truly did stumble upon an incredibly powerful world.
Crucially, the Creator of that world had vanished for reasons unknown. Driven by curiosity, he had ventured inside. To his surprise, while the world lacked a Creator, it possessed a highly sophisticated system of deities.
More importantly, those gods were formidable beyond measure. He was detected the moment he broke in. He didn't even require the strongest among them to act; a deity that looked remarkably like a cat had personally subdued him.
Fortunately, the highest-ranking deity among them chose not to kill him, opting instead to simply expel him from their realm.
"Actually, the Ki-related magic in my world was something I realized while fighting that cat deity. However, I only grasped the basics; it's far from being as powerful as the Ki in that world," the young Creator admitted, nodding.
George suddenly recalled that Yami and his homeland, the Land of the Sun, seemed to use a form of "Ki" energy. He had even studied it briefly with Yami. It certainly had its unique characteristics, but compared to mainstream mana, it was generally relegated to a supportive role. At the time, he had found the energy and its application somewhat discordant with his current world.
It turned out that such a power system didn't belong to this world at all. He simply hadn't connected the dots back then.
"Could it be the world of Dragon Ball?" George wondered, inwardly stroking his chin as he speculated.
He was quite familiar with Dragon Ball; it was a globally sensationally popular shonen series. It was said that the moment the protagonist, Goku, transformed into a Super Saiyan, every other anime in the world paled in comparison. Consequently, he had followed the series from beginning to end.
As far as world-building went, the Dragon Ball universe was indeed exceptionally powerful. A battle power of ten thousand was enough to destroy a planet, and later stages introduced Super Saiyan 1 through 4, Super Saiyan Blue, Ultra Instinct, and more. In terms of pure destructive capability, the upper limits could certainly reach the top-tier Multiversal level, and the world as a whole likely fell into the Megaversal category.
After all, there were many different dimensions and timelines involved. It was likely second only to worlds like Marvel or the Great Desolation.
The "cat god" the young Creator mentioned was very likely a God of Destruction. A God of Destruction's strength could easily obliterate a universe. It was only natural that the young Creator, who was a relatively weak Universal-level being, couldn't hold his own against one.
"If it really is the Dragon Ball world, the value is immense!" George's eyes began to brighten.
The Dragon Ball world was most likely Megaversal in scale. If he could consume it, he would undoubtedly ascend directly to the Megaversal level—and a potent one at that. That would allow his main body to easily shatter the seal of the Living Tribunal.
Of course, that would be no simple task. On one hand, given his current strength, even if the Dragon Ball world lacked a Creator, he couldn't swallow it whole. There was an entire tier of difference between them. It was like a person being able to eat ten buns and feeling full, but attempting to eat a thousand would result in them bursting.
However, he could wait until all his clones merged, elevating his strength to the threshold of the Megaversal level. By then, it shouldn't be much of a problem. On the other hand, the deities of the Dragon Ball world wouldn't just stand by and watch him consume their entire reality; they would certainly intervene.
Therefore, he still needed to increase his power first. Even if he couldn't devour the Dragon Ball world for now, entering it to learn the true applications of Ki and study its laws would be highly beneficial. Especially the Fusion Technique, which had left a deep impression on him; it would be of great help for the later merging of his clones.
"Do you still remember the coordinates of that world within the chaos?" George asked.
Since it wasn't yet confirmed to be the Dragon Ball world, he needed to enter and see for himself before formulating a detailed plan. After all, "Ki" wasn't exclusive to Dragon Ball, even if it was the first thing that came to his mind.
"I remember, of course I remember. I was planning to explore it again once I became stronger."
The young Creator didn't hide anything and directly shared the coordinates of the world he had discovered. For him, it would take an unknown amount of time to reach a level where he could re-enter that world. It was better to tell the mysterious and powerful George.
At the very least, his interactions with George during this period had yielded great benefits. He was even showing signs of breaking through to the next stage and creating a second world. If George could infiltrate that world and acquire its laws, the young Creator could share in the rewards as the provider of the intel.
The prerequisite for this decision, however, was that George remained friendly; otherwise, he wouldn't share such vital information for anything. He had encountered other wandering Creators in the chaotic void, and not every one of them was worth befriending.
"I will send a clone to explore. I believe there will be some good harvests," George said, naturally understanding the young Creator's thoughts and implying he would reciprocate the favor.
Having secured the location of the new world, he didn't waste any time. He immediately took control of the small clone nearest to those coordinates and hurried over. As for the small clone in this world, it remained behind to continue its exchange with the young Creator, occasionally visiting the human world to guide the Black Bull Squad in their true dragon transformation.
"It truly is Megaversal, and it indeed lacks a Creator."
After a long flight through the void, the small clone that had received the coordinates finally found the new world suspended in the chaos. After careful observation, he confirmed that the young Creator hadn't lied. The scale of this world had reached the Megaversal level, and he sensed no trace of a Creator.
Either the Creator had died in an accident, left and never returned, or had split and merged into their own world, vanishing entirely.
"This is for the best. I won't have to hide quite as much."
Using the authority of the Error Pathway, George found a loophole in the world's barrier. Just as before, he quietly dispersed all his power, using a single sliver of his True Spirit to sneak inside.
If a Creator were present, it would be difficult to use power from other worlds; he would have to convert it slowly. A Creator, as the architect of their world, could easily detect energies that differed from their own creation. But without one, even powerful deities—even Multiversal-level powerhouses—would find it difficult to notice. They would simply assume that their world had birthed a new form of power. Since they didn't have total mastery over the world, they couldn't be certain if a new force originated from the outside.
Thus, he only needed to evade the detection of the gods, find a recently deceased organism to parasitize, and steal its destiny. Then, he could perfectly masquerade as a native of this world. Simultaneously, he could use his various magics and abilities to rapidly increase the small clone's strength.
"Let's pick one at random!"
After infiltrating, George discovered that this world contained various parallel universes, each with different cosmos and timelines. To avoid detection, he chose the world closest to him, the nearest universe, and the closest inhabited planet within that universe.
"It really is fate."
The planet he entered was none other than the blue planet that existed in so many worlds: Earth.
Actually, it couldn't be called a total coincidence. When sneaking in, he had pre-emptively imbued this sliver of True Spirit with the "Luck" of the Fate Pathway. Earth was the protagonist of many worlds. Fate leading him to land on Earth from the start indicated it was the best place for him to achieve his goals.
"I choose you!"
Once on Earth, George didn't dally. He quickly found a recently deceased organism and parasitized it.
"It really is the Dragon Ball world."
George slowly opened his eyes to the sound of gunfire ringing in his ears. The name of this body was also George—yes, George, the same as his own. This wasn't a coincidence; it was the authority of the Wheel of Fortune at work, as he had specifically wanted a body with the same name.
This George was sixteen years old, a high school student born in Satan City. Oh, it hadn't always been called Satan City; it used to be Orange Star City. The citizens had renamed it to show their gratitude to Mr. Satan for defeating Cell and saving the world seven years ago.
On his way to school, he had stumbled upon a jewelry store robbery. Such events were common in Satan City—or most cities on Earth, for that matter. Usually, one just had to stay out of the way. Not only did the police handle crimes, but Satan's daughter, Videl, also acted as a vigilante to help fight crime.
Unfortunately, this world's George had poor luck. He hadn't escaped to safety in time and was struck in the heart by a stray bullet from the robbers, dying instantly.
"Hahaha! What's wrong, you stinking cops? Come and get us if you've got the guts!"
The robbers, having finished looting the jewelry, arrogantly sprayed the police cars blocking their path with submachine guns, completely disregarding the officers hiding behind them. The police were only armed with handguns; their firepower was no match for the criminals.
"For an Earth with such advanced technology, the police weapons are surprisingly lacking."
George stood up, using Devour Magic to rapidly absorb the surrounding energy and convert it into mana. He then cast a healing spell on himself. Soon, the wound on his chest vanished at a rate visible to the naked eye, and his body was restored to health.
The Dragon Ball world possessed a great deal of "black technology." He remembered that when Goku first entered a city as a child, various magover vehicles could be seen on the streets. There were also the Capsules invented by Bulma's father and the Androids of the Red Ribbon Army. Later, as the story moved into space, there were all sorts of powerful weapons.
Yet, after all these years, the humans on Earth were still using ordinary firearms. It felt no different from a normal Earth. But it was understandable; after all, only Goku's group had truly interacted with the wider universe. Most humans had never even left Earth.
"Since I'm here to learn this world's Ki, the physical body is very important. I might as well try this."
George reached out with his right hand and lightly tapped his forehead.
"Alohomora!"
Indeed, it was the Unlocking Charm he had modified countless times, now imbued with conceptual-level power. Casting it on himself now was intended to unlock his body's genetic locks, developing this ordinary human vessel's potential to its maximum.
As the genetic locks opened, George felt his physical form instantly begin to strengthen. In just a few seconds, he transformed from a thin student who spent too much time studying and not enough exercising into a peak human specimen with a defined eight-pack. Even his nearsightedness vanished, leaving him with incredible vision. His current physical strength was roughly on par with Captain America.
"The foundation is a bit weak, but it doesn't matter."
Because the body was just an ordinary human—and an unathletic teenager at that—he hadn't fully opened the genetic locks on the first try. He had only opened one percent; otherwise, the genes would have simply collapsed. He would need a period of exercise and reinforcement before he could continue developing to two percent, three percent, and eventually one hundred percent.
However, as a mage, he naturally wasn't going to spend his days sweating in a gym. He had far too many ways to strengthen his physique.
The simplest way was the Twilight Giant Pathway from the Lord of the Mysteries world. He could step-by-step become a Twilight Giant, possessing terrifying physical strength and various abilities. Through Devour Magic, he could absorb energy to strengthen his body from a Sequence 9 Warrior all the way to a Sequence 0 True God. Then, by opening the genetic locks, he could further liberate that physical power.
This way, he could obtain an extremely powerful body to learn and use this world's Ki energy.
It wouldn't be instantaneous, of course; it would take time to progress step-by-step. This was, after all, just a small clone, not a full clone; it only possessed a tiny fragment of his soul.
Furthermore, his clone in the Great Desolation world was currently seeking the Eight-Nine Arcane Art. If he could obtain that, it would also significantly reinforce his body.
The growth of a small clone's strength had its limits. Its primary purpose was to acquire knowledge—to understand this world's power system and laws. He would then pass this information to his truly powerful clones, who could synchronize their strength and perform the actual cultivation.
Nonetheless, the small clone couldn't be too weak. If it were killed, he would have to go through the trouble of deploying another one from elsewhere. Even as a small clone, it possessed all his magic; while it might not be able to defeat a God of Destruction or an Angel at its peak, survival shouldn't be an issue.
"The first task upon taking over this body: avenge the original owner."
George took off his glasses. In a blur of motion, he covered the distance to the robbers in a few strides. Relying on his enhanced physical strength, he easily dispatched the criminals.
At that moment, a craft emblazoned with the word "Satan" appeared in the sky above the jewelry store.
