"He... hello!"

Superman approached George slowly, cautiously raising a hand in greeting. Although he sensed George was an ally, he wanted to be certain. After all, George's power had already defied his imagination. To toy with Zod so effortlessly meant that if Clark were to fight the cat, the result would likely be the same.

"Greetings! To prevent the world from devastation, to protect the world from devastation, to denounce the evils of truth and love—I am George, the Meow-tonian from Planet Meow!" George extended a paw, speaking with a cheeky glint in his feline eyes.

Clark blinked, processing the eccentric introduction. "I'm Clark. I'm from Krypton, though I was raised on Earth. I, too, wish to protect the peace of this world."

He didn't doubt George's origin. Having learned the truth of Kryptonian history, he knew the universe was teeming with alien civilizations. A "Planet Meow" inhabited by "Meow-tonians" seemed perfectly plausible in a galaxy this vast.

"Thank you for your help just now," Superman said, reaching out to gently shake George's paw in a gesture of friendship.

George retracted his paw and looked down at the street below. "They are your kinsmen. How do you wish to handle them?"

"They don't seem willing to coexist with humanity," Clark said, a shadow of conflict crossing his face. "But leaving them on Earth is too dangerous."

If it wasn't absolutely necessary, Clark didn't want to kill these Kryptonians—they were the last of his race. Yet, Zod's ideology was a threat to every living soul. Without their ship, they would simply find another way to terraform the planet. Only he and George stood any chance of restraining them.

"Do you have a suggestion?" Clark asked.

"We Meow-tonians are a peace-loving folk," George suggested, twitching his whiskers. "If you don't mind, I can seal them away and send them into the far reaches of deep space."

The Saint Seiya power system included potent sealing techniques; even gods like Poseidon and the Twin Gods had been locked away by Athena's seals.

"Then let's do it your way," Clark nodded. It was a fitting fate. Zod and his followers had originally been exiled by Krypton for treason; this would simply be a return to that state.

The Seal of the Cola Bottle

On the streets below, the military had surrounded the Kryptonians. However, out of fear, the soldiers kept their distance, fruitlessly shouting for surrender through megaphones. The Kryptonians ignored the humans entirely, their eyes fixed on the sky, wary of another ambush from George.

"Let's go! We're leaving Earth!" Zod, having regained some semblance of reason, signaled his troops. They streaked toward the atmosphere like falling stars.

With George present, their plan to turn Earth into Krypton was dead. Zod decided to retreat to abandoned Kryptonian outposts in the solar system to scavenge for parts, rebuild a World Engine, and develop weapons specifically designed to kill a "Super-Cat."

"Trying to leave? Do I look like a scratching post to you?" George stood on his hind legs, mimicking the stance of the Pegasus Saint.

"Meow-tonian Meteor Fist!"

With paws moving at the speed of light, George struck millions of times per second. Zod and his soldiers were hammered back down to the pavement in a tangled heap.

George landed elegantly, snatched a discarded cola bottle from a bewildered passerby, and traced a series of glowing symbols on the plastic. He pointed the bottle at the pile of Kryptonians.

"Seal!"

His Cosmo emitted a soft, gravitational energy, and the Kryptonians were sucked into the bottle like genies into a lamp.

"Another Dimension!"

With a swipe of a claw, George tore a rift in space leading to the lightless depths of the universe. He tossed the bottle in and flew back up to Clark. "Handled."

Superman gave George a solid thumbs-up. "I think we should leave before the helicopters catch up."

A Feline at the Kent Farm

That evening, at the Kent farm, Martha Kent placed a plate of fragrant, pan-seared yellow croaker in front of George.

"George, I hope you like it," she said warmly. She knew from her son and the news that this black cat had helped save the world. She was profoundly grateful and had prepared her specialty dish just for him.

"It's delicious, ma'am," George said, swallowing a fish whole and using a napkin with his paw to wipe his mouth. He turned to Clark. "So, Clark, what's next for you?"

"I'm moving to Metropolis to become a reporter," Clark shared. "I want to help guide humanity toward a better path."

Being a reporter allowed him to stay informed and slip away to help people whenever "Superman" was needed. Plus, the woman he loved worked at the Daily Planet.

"What about you, George? Do you have a plan? Would you like to come with me?"

Though they had only just met, Clark already considered George a friend. They were fellow aliens with shared ideals. George was also strong enough that Clark didn't have to worry about his safety.

"Sure, why not? I don't have much else to do," George agreed, feigning a moment of thought.

Staying with the "favorite son" of the DC Universe would provide the perfect front. It would allow him to observe the world's laws while naturally meeting other heroes to study their powers—all while keeping the Presence entertained.

The Rise of Super-Cat

The following day, Clark and George moved into a modest apartment in Metropolis. The city was plastered with headlines about the "Kryptonian Invasion" and the duo that stopped it.

The media had officially dubbed them "Superman" and "Super-Cat."

The public logic was simple: one was a super-human, the other a super-cat. They naturally assumed the two came from the same place. Some scientists even theorized that while Superman was the Kryptonian equivalent of a human, Super-Cat might be the Kryptonian equivalent of a prehistoric apex predator—explaining why he was even more terrifyingly powerful than the Man of Steel.
