Chapter 808 - Chapter 806: The Path Ahead

Three days later.

Just as Seimei had predicted, the Seven-Tails hit peak condition. The chakra it could churn out daily maxed out at a cool million points.

That bumped up the chakra he could pour into his Byakugan each day to the expected 1.85 million points.

With that, he was racking up nine evolution points daily for his Byakugan.

Plus, when he paired "Human Path" with "Palm Sage Technique" to boost his body, the enhancement to his Byakugan didn't drop off much either.

So, he was still snagging an extra evolution point per day from that.

Add it all up, and he was hitting ten points—just one shy of the max eleven.

And that last point? He was about to nab it.

With a quick thought, Seimei pulled up his proficiency panel.

There it was: "Lightning Release: Thunderstrike Sword." After over six days of grinding, its proficiency had jumped from lv6 (2800/10000) to lv6 (9100/10000).

At this rate, it'd hit lv7 in a day, tops.

And since "Thunderstrike Sword" was a B-rank ninjutsu, lv7 was its cap.

In other words, one more day, and it'd be maxed out.

Once that happened, he could free up the chakra he'd been sinking into it.

How much chakra? Easy—120,000 points!

If he redirected that into his Byakugan's nurturing, his daily chakra pool would climb to 1.97 million points—just 30,000 shy of the 2 million-point limit.

And that 30,000-point gap? He had a fix for that too.

Before, his Sharingan couldn't keep improving with "Reflection Technique" since the Hashirama cells weren't fully integrated yet. But to plan ahead, he'd still allocated 36,000 points of chakra for some forward-thinking research.

Now, after all this time, he'd pretty much cracked everything he needed to. All he had to do was wait for his body to evolve again and fully sync with those cells. Then he could start tweaking it for real. Keeping that chakra tied up there wasn't doing much anymore.

So, he could totally pull those 36,000 points and throw them into his Byakugan's evolution.

That'd cover the 30,000-point gap, no problem.

As for the extra 6,000 points? He wasn't about to let those go to waste.

He figured he'd dump them into "Fire Release: Flame Convergence Strike."

Sure, that jutsu already had 300,000 points pumped into it, but for a technique like that, more chakra was always better.

Why?

Simple. It was an incomplete ninjutsu, and its flaws were starting to show. Back when it took 150 points of chakra for one proficiency tick, that was just the appetizer.

Now, because of how rough around the edges it was, it couldn't break past lv7.

Not that it was impossible to level up.

With the proficiency panel, Seimei didn't have to sweat it.

Even if it was a grind, he could chip away at it bit by bit.

The real issue? Its proficiency was creeping up way too slow.

Based on its earlier pace, it should've hit lv7 and jumped to lv8 two days ago.

But as it inched closer to lv7 (20000/20000), the difficulty kept spiking.

So, even now, it was barely at lv7 (19500/20000).

At this speed, Seimei figured it'd take at least another day to break through.

In other words, it was sucking up 600 or 700 points of chakra per proficiency point on average.

That kind of cost blew every other skill he'd worked on out of the water.

So yeah, when he said more chakra was better for this jutsu, he meant it.

What else could he do? It was a half-baked technique with crazy potential!

All that extra chakra he was pouring in was basically patching up this S-rank ninjutsu.

Still, he reckoned once it cleared the lv7 hurdle and hit lv8, the chakra cost wouldn't be this insane.

At least in the early stages, it shouldn't guzzle so much.

Give up on it? No way!

Seimei was banking on maxing it out to push his control over Fire Release chakra—both form and nature transformation—to the minimum needed for developing a Kekkei Tota.

Speaking of Kekkei Tota…

Right now, his Wind, Water, Yin, and Yang chakra—form and nature transformations—were already at the threshold. Only Fire, Earth, and Lightning were lagging behind.

For Fire, he was counting on "Flame Convergence Strike."

But Earth and Lightning? He was kinda stumped.

Even if he maxed out "Lightning Release: Thunder Beast Performance," "Earth Release: Earth Vein Dragon," and "Earth Release: Black Soil Rain" in a few days, it'd still fall short.

The best move, no doubt, was to follow the Fire and Wind playbook—pick up an S-rank ninjutsu for each.

Problem was, the Uchiha clan's stash didn't have anything that fit the bill.

For Lightning, he could brainstorm some options.

Like, tapping into his past-life memories and borrowing from Kakashi and Sasuke's playbook to cook up "Lightning Release: Raikiri" or "Lightning Release: Kirin."

But Earth? He was flat out of ideas.

In both his past and current lives, legit S-rank Earth ninjutsu were few and far between.

And even the ones that existed? Hard to say if they'd help him master Earth chakra form and nature transformations enough to hit Kekkei Tota levels.

So, for Earth, he decided to go the quantity-over-quality route.

Since he'd nailed Water chakra form and nature transformations by maxing out a bunch of A- and B-rank jutsu, couldn't he do the same for Earth?

Seimei figured it'd probably work.

And if it didn't, he had a backup: Iwa Village's Dust Release.

The Second Tsuchikage, Mu, and the Third, Onoki, had fused Fire, Earth, and Wind chakra natures to create Dust Release—a Kekkei Tota that topped even Kekkei Genkai. That meant they had a solid method for pulling it off.

At least, for geniuses, there was a proven training system.

He wasn't exactly a genius, but with his current grip on these chakras, if he got his hands on that method, mastering it shouldn't be too tough.

With that, he could likely boost his Earth chakra form and nature transformations to the right level.

Oh, and even if he got all seven chakra natures up to Kekkei Tota standards, fusing them into one right off the bat wasn't realistic.

Seimei thought starting with Kekkei Genkai and Kekkei Tota fusions might be a smarter play.

And for that, Dust Release was a ready-made target.

So, yeah, he'd probably have to swing by Iwa Village at some point.

Good thing he'd already planted some sleeper agents there. When the time came, he wouldn't be flying blind.
