Ian had stopped flying, watching Hunter fly out from the green dust with an unknown smile curling his lips slightly.
Hunter didn't agree right away but waited for the air to clear before responding.
[Why should I trust you to uphold your end of the deal? I feel like you're always scheming against me.]
Hunter felt pity for himself, having such a black-hearted twin. Back in their kingdom, his other brothers suffered because of his potions, and now it was only two of them; he was the one to suffer.
He couldn't wait for Ian to find more potion tasters for himself so he would suffer less.
[Have I ever lied to you? A deal is a deal... I live by my code of honesty. So...?] Ian, who had answered in a slightly hurt tone, subtly urged Hunter to make a decision.
Hunter looked at Ian with a deadpan expression before nodding helplessly, yet with a gambler's hope that this time would be different.
Hunter extended his hand to Ian, knowing that the deal always involved drinking a potion.
