Chapter 483 - 483: The Day of Judgment

In the place where the Iron Throne once stood, a comfortable, finely crafted wooden chair now sat. Jason had no desire to occupy a seat that was famous for cutting its kings; he remembered the legends of Targaryens nearly bleeding to death from a careless shift in their seat. His authority didn't rely on a "frenzied" chair of melted swords, but on the strength of the new world he was building.

On a clear, bright day, the Royal Guard escorted the carriage carrying Jason and his two queens to the newly constructed court outside the city walls. The wooden stands were a sea of faces representing every corner of the realm:

The Riverlands: Edmure, Duke of the Riverlands, sat at the head of a large group of local lords.

The East: Young Robert Arryn, Warden of the East, was accompanied by his mother, Lady Lysa.

Dorne: Prince Doran and Prince Oberyn sat surrounded by their loyal Dornish families.

The North: Brandon Stark and his brother Rickon had arrived by boat from Winterfell, with Arya sitting beside them to represent the Stark legacy.

The Stormlands: Stannis Baratheon sat sternly with a handful of his closest supporters.

The Iron Islands: Asha Greyjoy, now Duchess after eliminating her uncle "Crow's Eye," looked on with worry, hoping her brother Theon might survive the day.

Varys, the master of whispers, stepped forward. His shrill voice rang across the grounds: "Westeros' King, Guardian of the Seven Realms, Ruler of the Great Grass Sea, and Lord of Slaver's Bay—His Majesty Jason I is here!".

Jason walked slowly toward the high platform, a golden tiara resting on his head and a queen on each arm. As he appeared, the thousands in attendance—from the high lords in the stands to the commoners pressing against the outer fences—knelt in unison. Only the modern advisory group remained standing, choosing instead to bow with their hands over their hearts.

"Long live Your Majesty!" the crowd roared as the three took their seats on the thrones.

Varys leaned in, a diligent smile on his face. "Your Majesty, the queens... everyone is gathered. Shall we begin?". Jason nodded. He had kept Varys in his post at Daenerys' request, finding the "Little Bird" network far too useful for monitoring the kingdom to dismantle it just yet. However, Jason had already instructed his modern advisors to build a new Kingdom Supervision Department to monitor these very officials for corruption and ensure his edicts were actually carried out. He knew that without a system to lock power in a cage, the kingdom would rot from the inside just as it had before.

The first group brought to the center of the court were the high-profile prisoners of the war: Joffrey, Cersei, Tywin, Jaime, Tyrion, and Kevan Lannister, alongside Mace and Loras Tyrell, and Margaery. Out of mercy, Jason had spared Joffrey's younger siblings, Myrcella and Tommen, from the trial due to their age.

The judge read the charges of treason and war crimes. The sentences were swift:

The Lions: Joffrey, Cersei, Tywin, Kevan, and Jaime Lannister were all sentenced to death. Tyrion Lannister was spared the executioner's blade and sentenced to life imprisonment, as he had not held true power or committed the same atrocities as his kin.

The Roses: To appease the people of the Reach, the Tyrells were shown relative leniency. Mace Tyrell was stripped of his titles and imprisoned, while the family's rule over the Reach was abolished entirely.

The Vassals: Lords who had remained loyal to the Lannisters and committed serious crimes were sentenced to beheading; others were stripped of their nobility and sent to labor camps.

Watching the Lannisters receive their death sentences brought a grim sense of peace to many. Daenerys saw the end of the family that had hunted her father and brother. The Stark children—Sansa, Arya, and Bran—felt the weight of their parents' deaths finally being repaid. Even the Martells of Dorne felt a surge of satisfaction knowing the architects of Elia Martell's suffering were finally being eradicated.

But the day was not over. As the Lannisters were led away, a final, lone figure was brought forward. The trial of Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish was about to begin.
