The Third Shinobi World War.

There was no smoke rising from the battlefield.

Only corpses.

Kunai and shuriken lay scattered across the ground, while the occasional groan of the wounded broke the oppressive silence.

Deep within the winding mountains along the border between the Land of Fire and the Land of Lightning, a concealed medical camp had been hastily established. Cries of pain occasionally echoed from within the tents, while shadow-like figures constantly hurried in and out.

Most of them wore Konoha forehead protectors, while wounded shinobi were carried back and forth through the camp.

"Damn it... I'm really unlucky."

Uchiha Gōenji sat beneath a tree outside the camp, watching his fellow Konoha shinobi being carried in and out.

His face had turned pale.

It wasn't because seeing his comrades injured made him uncomfortable.

The problem was that he was one of them.

He had simply arrived a little earlier than the others.

White medical bandages covered most of his body, including his head. Blood had seeped through several places, staining the cloth red.

Only his black eyes were visible through the gaps in the bandages.

He silently watched the wounded shinobi around him.

"I transmigrated straight into the Third Shinobi World War, woke up seriously injured, and I'm even an Uchiha!"

"I'm really screwed."

Uchiha Gōenji was a transmigrator.

The moment he absorbed the memories of his predecessor, he understood just how bad his situation was.

At this point in history, Konoha was fighting on multiple fronts, relying on its own forces to withstand attacks from the other great shinobi villages. The war had already reached its most intense stage.

Gōenji was a chūnin of the Uchiha clan.

During this mission, his squad had been ambushed by a covert Kumogakure unit. The Konoha team had been overwhelmed and suffered heavy casualties.

Fortunately, Konoha received the report in time and dispatched reinforcements.

Otherwise, they wouldn't have gotten away with mere injuries.

And it was precisely when the original Uchiha Gōenji collapsed that the transmigrator took over his body.

As a longtime Naruto fan, Gōenji knew far too much about the world he'd entered.

Which only made his situation feel more absurd.

He was a peace-loving person. Who in their right mind would want to start a war?

Especially a war this brutal.

"At least my predecessor's comrades all died, allowing him to awaken the Three-Tomoe Sharingan."

That was probably the only good news he had received since arriving in this world.

The stronger the Sharingan became, the greater its dynamic vision and observational abilities. It could even perceive an opponent's chakra and greatly enhance the user's genjutsu.

That alone was enough to make Gōenji feel somewhat comforted.

With the Three-Tomoe Sharingan, his strength had naturally increased by a huge margin. At the very least, he now had a much greater chance of surviving the remainder of the war.

Perhaps these eyes could even allow him to rapidly grow into one of Konoha's stronger shinobi.

Gōenji formed the Tiger seal and drew chakra into his eyes.

In an instant, they changed.

His pupils contracted, and three tomoe appeared around each iris.

The Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

Gōenji stared at the world around him.

Everything became astonishingly clear.

He could see shinobi moving through the camp, flies buzzing through the air after being attracted by the smell of blood, and even ants crawling beside his feet.

Their movements seemed incredibly slow, as though someone had repeatedly slowed down a video while leaving every detail perfectly intact.

He could even see the chakra circulating through the bodies of the shinobi around him.

"So this is the core of the Sharingan..."

Gōenji's eyes gleamed.

"This is why Kakashi was able to copy other people's ninjutsu."

Only after personally experiencing the Sharingan's power did Gōenji truly understand why the Uchiha and Hyūga clans were regarded as two of the strongest bloodline clans.

Even the Three-Tomoe Sharingan alone was ridiculously powerful.

And this was merely the third stage.

That confidence was one of the reasons Gōenji believed he could survive the Third Shinobi World War.

Unfortunately, there was still one thing that bothered him.

His family in Konoha was dead.

His comrades were dead.

He had experienced the emotional trauma necessary to awaken the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

Yet he still hadn't awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.

He didn't know why.

He simply had a feeling that it wouldn't happen.

There was another strange change he had noticed since transmigrating.

Something about his mind had changed.

It wasn't like this in his previous life, nor had the original Uchiha Gōenji possessed such extraordinary comprehension.

His understanding seemed to have improved dramatically, especially when it came to Fire Release.

Whenever he thought about Fire Release, new insights would naturally emerge. Knowledge from his previous life collided with his understanding of ninjutsu, creating entirely new ideas.

The same was true of other areas.

They weren't as obvious as his comprehension of Fire Release, but the improvement was still astonishing.

His analytical ability, for example, had become far sharper.

"The Sharingan evolves through the power of emotion..."

Gōenji frowned.

"But as a transmigrator, I don't have a strong sense of belonging to this world."

His emotions simply weren't as intense as those of a native Uchiha.

Even if he developed genuine attachments to the people around him, he would always retain the perspective of someone who knew this world was fictional.

His emotions could never reach the same intensity as someone who had been born and raised here.

And without sufficiently powerful emotional trauma...

How was he supposed to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan?

That realization made Gōenji somewhat uncomfortable.

After all, he was a Naruto fan.

He had transmigrated into the Naruto world.

How could he not have a cool Mangekyō Sharingan?

And he was an Uchiha on top of that!

It was ridiculous.

"System?"

"Big Brother System, are you there?"

"Come out and help me turn my Sharingan into a Mangekyō!"

Gōenji complained inwardly.

Unfortunately, he already knew the truth.

There was no system waiting for him.

He genuinely envied other transmigrators.

Unless he eventually dug out someone else's eyes and transplanted them, he might never have the opportunity to obtain a Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Forget it."

"Surviving this war comes first."

Gōenji quickly pushed those useless thoughts aside.

Right now, survival was the only thing that mattered.

As long as he stayed alive, he would have plenty of time to worry about the future.

He slowly surveyed the camp.

He observed the Konoha shinobi around him, then carefully examined the surrounding terrain.

No enemies.

Good.

As an injured shinobi, this was probably the only useful thing he could do at the moment.

At least he had the Sharingan.

That gave him some value as a visual sensor.

He needed to remain alert.

"Fire Release, genjutsu, shuriken, kunai, traps, taijutsu..."

Gōenji silently listed everything he knew.

Fire Release was the field in which he believed he possessed the greatest talent, so naturally, it would become his primary focus.

Genjutsu came next.

With the Sharingan enhancing his abilities, he already possessed a natural advantage there.

But the most important areas were taijutsu, traps, and kunai techniques.

A shinobi's chakra was limited.

No one could endlessly use ninjutsu.

That alone demonstrated the importance of physical combat.

If he wanted to grow stronger, physical training was essential.

But there was something even more important than that.

Knowledge.

He needed more of it—more books, more observation, and more opportunities to study how other shinobi fought.

The Sharingan already gave him an excellent foundation for observation.

Unfortunately, his current injuries prevented him from doing any serious physical training.

For now, observation was his greatest weapon.

He wanted to fully utilize the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

Perhaps he could even surpass the future achievements of Kakashi Hatake.

With that thought in mind, Gōenji spent the next several hours using his newly enhanced mind to analyze and integrate everything he could learn from the battlefield.

He studied the movements of the shinobi around him, analyzed their attack patterns, and observed how they manipulated their chakra.

Then he incorporated those observations into his own developing combat system.

Everything was aimed at a single goal.

Survival.

He needed to survive the Third Shinobi World War.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Just then, a figure hurried into the camp.

"Anyone who can still move, pack your things! The enemy has scouted the camp. We need to relocate immediately!"

Gōenji's expression darkened.

He was still injured.

His wounds weren't serious enough to prevent him from moving, but they were painful enough that nobody wanted to carry him.

So he had no choice but to walk on his own.

Given the state of his body, Gōenji could already imagine how painful every step would be.

He gritted his teeth.

I swear...

I'm never getting injured again.

Not everyone could tolerate this kind of pain.

Gōenji certainly couldn't.
