The sun came on the sky and Eta, Beta and Epsilon were having tea with Alpha and they talked a lot to make Alpha comfortable with them and Alpha was finally a little bit relieved and she had a small decent smile on her face.
Alpha took a sip of tea and finally came on the main topic, "...Can you all now explain me, what happened to my ears? It was... painful, horrible...like another nightmare. I really want the answer."
Eta smiled and explained, "You were injected with a Parasite soul."
Alpha's eyes widened, she had enough knowledge about them now...and the word looks scary for her. She lost everything, by just one thing... Parasite.
But Epsilon added, "But most probably, you are not the Parasite. Your soul consumed the Parasite and the Parasite's soul would be sealed in it."
Alpha was shocked now, "Like the boy?"
Eta, Epsilon and Beta smiled with a sweat, Alpha doesn't know Zero's name so she will call him by "boy"? It was strange...but also funny. They giggled from inside and nodded their head, "Yes, like that boy--"
But suddenly Eta, Beta and Epsilon realized.
"Wait...he told you about his work and what he does? You know about it?"
Alpha felt strange, "He didn't hesitate to answer actually, he was answering all the questions which he could, he told me about Parasites, and his job. His night shift and all that."
Eta, Epsilon and Beta didn't feel danger from Alpha, but they were just surprised, "He believed in you so much? Sacreficer is weird, and a strange guy."
"Is what we call him?"
They all three nodded their heads, "That's his nickname in our job."
Alpha was amazed.
"Anyways, back to the topic." Eta looked at Alpha with a decent smile and said, "Your ear problem was with your power, you have actually became like us, who consume and seal Parasite souls, and by that strength your all five senses comes to another level as you now have the power of Parasites as well. But as the sound was all of a sudden, you can't handle it and that happened."
Beta nodded her head and suggested, "And for that I will suggest you, keep your ears closed by the bandage and slowly slowly started giving it space and freeing it. That is the only way, I guess."
Alpha understood, "So you all would have done it as well, right?"
Eta, Epsilon and Beta were surprised by the question, they just smiled and Epsilon answered, "Nope, we have to suffer with it years ago. I guess...when I was of seven that started and the pain didn't stop, but it became normal in years. Now the sensetive hearing has became strength, it makes things easy."
Alpha looked down, finally understanding the situation that there are some in more worse situation but now using that as power. Alpha just smiled looking down, thought that she can't be like them, and she was sure about it.
Beta stood with the cups in her hands and she started leaving. Epsilon looked at Alpha and asked, "Do you want something to eat, Alpha?"
Alpha now felt more strange, she didn't understand it.
"...Why are you all so nice to me? Even Sacreficer was nice to me, and I don't know why. Do you all want something... from me?"
Eta, Epsilon and Beta stopped and all their eyes at Alpha.
"...Just tell me what you all want...if I can do it, then I will try my best to do it."
Eta, Epsilon and Beta looked at each other next, and suddenly started laughing loudly. Alpha didn't understand their reasons for laugh and they didn't stop laughing.
"That's... that's a nice question..." Eta said, whole still laughing and Beta also joined, "So you think we can only be kind intentionally, huh?"
Alpha was stunned.
"Noo!!!!!! It's not like that!!!"
Epsilon kept a hand on Alpha's hand and said, "What we would even want from you? We have just met you and we would want you to do something? It's funny."
Alpha felt now more guilty, she looked down and tried to explain, "I... didn't mean by that... I was just..."
Eta stopped laughing and just keep a smile on her face and said, "We don't need anything from you, we only need you to be safe and healthy. We wouldn't want anything else from you, just you stay safe."
But again, it didn't answer Alpha's whole question, "But...why?"
Epsilon and Beta also stopped laughing and Beta sat on the floor again and replied, "So you want a reason? Because you're a human."
It wasn't enough for Alpha. And Epsilon looked at Alpha still looking down and she answered, "Our work is to save humans from Parasite, although we can't because we don't get permission to secure the one who is getting absorbed by the Parasite sometimes but if one human is alive and we can care about that person. It's better for us. That's only what our work is."
Eta also thought for a second and said, "And if you want another reason, because you are something for Sacreficer. He himself took us here to just look for you. Sacreficer is like our family member, so if you are his responsibility then you are also our responsibility."
But Epsilon started sweating, after a thought, "...but... What if Sacreficer has an intention to have her?"
Alpha's whole body shook with chills.
"I don't want him then." Alpha mumbled and Eta, Beta and Epsilon started sweating.
"But I don't think he is such a guy." But Eta had different view, "I have seen him since he was just a kid, although never saw his face, but still, I don't think he would be like that."
Beta smiled with a sweat, "And he can't remember about girls anyways, so there's no chance."
And Alpha, Eta, Epsilon and Beta nodded their heads, agreeing.
Suddenly the door opened and Zero arrived, "Home looks beautiful when there's no one, such a peaceful place."
And Zero walked ahead, and he was stunned...Eta, Beta, Epsilon, in their masks, and Alpha were looking at him...and he realized, he forgot that Alpha has joined the house and Eta, Beta and Epsilon were there for Alpha's help.
Zero smiled with a sweat, "That only I thought...why I purchased other vegetables as well."
