Fighting against KCM Naruto would surely push him enough, if not then he would give a visit to Akatsuki.
.
"Now, I just need to look for them."
He was wondering where they could be? Certainly not at their last stop. That place would have been destroyed by now.
After a few jumps, he managed to find the clues about their location and finally located them.
However, the place where he found Jiraiya was not really suitable for training.
"How do I always manage to arrive in the moments when you are relaxing?"
Reko glanced at the curvy chick being fondled by Jiraiya before speaking sarcastically.
Jiraiya turned his head to Reko, gave an awkward smile as he slowly backed off from the very desirable lady on his lap.
As Jiraiya rubbed the back of his head, he signalled for the lady to go outside.
The lady gave a coy smile, not wanting to leave before she reluctantly left.
On her way out, she gave a lip-biting smile to Reko.
"Ahem! I am a little curious about that too, honestly."
Jiraiya laughed it off. This was not the first time he had been caught indulging in his special research and who could blame him?
This was certainly not something he could let go of or any man for the fact.
"Anyways, I was planning to relocate Naruto's training to a new place."
Reko dismissed the matter, already having experienced this. He informed Jiraiya about the island he had found and how he planned to choose it for the next training spot.
"Ohh? You found a new place already? Impressive!"
Jiraiya spoke honestly as he understood the details of the island. It sounded perfect for the type of training they were doing.
Although he did not like the lack of human population there, he could manage to get by.
…
In a dimly lit room with two open windows, the figure of one of the Pains could be seen seated on the chair.
In front of him, White Zetsu could be seen half submerged in the ground with only his head and shoulders visible.
"Any updates?"
Nagato inquired through his Pain clone. White Zetsu had sent a clone of his to lookout for the Nine-Tails movements.
"Not as of now. They have changed their locations like usual and it seems that the training for the Jinchuriki is going well."
Zetsu shook his head, disappointed. The findings were normal, he was once again late in reaching the place.
"I see. Keep looking for them. Once you locate them, send Tobi with any duo that are nearby."
Nagato instructed before he left the place. There was no urgency in his voice. He was calm, confident in his strength.
"I understand."
White Zetsu muttered to the empty chair before he too disappeared into the ground beneath.
…
'Why does it feel like he's not serious?'
White Zetsu thought as he recalled the conversation he had with Nagato. It was as if that guy was not at all serious about their mission.
'We already have three tails and seven tails. If he really shoulders it all by himself then we can barely manage.'
They had managed to capture two of them already. The rest, they could easily manage with his help. But he didn't seem to be interested.
'That will also help with our mission, allowing us to save our strength.'
This was a perfect opportunity to have backstabbed Nagato after he took it on himself to capture all those tailed beasts. Unfortunately, luck was not on their side.
White Zetsu met Obito, wanting to discuss the meeting he had with Nagato.
"What do you think?"
He looked at Obito, curious. Would there be a change in their plans?
"I already expected it. He has absolute trust in his strength. He would not take action by himself."
Obito walked leisurely as he spoke. He had already expected all this.
"He wants the hidden villages to despair because of Akatsuki and directly taking action would be ineffective for the cause."
He explained the motivation behind Nagato's actions.
"So, he's just stalling for time?"
White Zetsu asked in confusion. Wasn't this bad for their plans? How could they proceed if Nagato did not want them to?
"No. He has left it up to us. If we manage to get it done then all good but he doesn't intend to step in."
Obito shook his head and explained. For the moment, Nagato intended to remain passive.
It depended on the rest of Akatsuki members to do it, that is if they could do it.
"What do you plan to do next then?"
White Zetsu seemed to be curious about their next plan of action.
"What else? We just need to prepare ourselves. The objective remains the same. Not like I can control the other members, hehe."
Obito shrugged as he answered nonchalantly before disappearing into his personal space.
The Akatsuki was not really a group based on companionship but convenience.
…..
"Aren't you being too harsh on yourself and him?"
Jiraiya asked Reko. The training was pretty intense. Bringing out the most from the Nine-Tails as Naruto fought for control.
But this was not only for Naruto, even Reko appeared to be pushing himself hard.
"Am I?"
Reko chuckled as he looked at the ragged body of Naruto. The kid was breathing roughly but breathing nonetheless.
Any other prodigy or even Jinchuriki would have not managed to recover like Naruto was doing.
"Are you planning something?"
Seeing that his question was deliberately dodged, Jiraiya did not intend to dig into it but asked if there was anything else Reko had in mind.
"Cool intuition you have, I plan to attack Akatsuki. Hunt, I mean."
Reko smiled, raised his eyebrows in awe as he spoke.
He revealed that he was planning to deal with Akatsuki.
As Jiraiya heard this, his face dropped all of a sudden. He was confused as to what was this situation?
Reko wanting to hunt Akatsuki? Sounds logical.
But training this hard and pushing the body to such limits? Not something Reko would do normally.
"Are you sure about this?"
He did not intend to ask why or how but rather questioned the decision itself.
He thought that he would explain to Reko about a few of the Akatsuki members but before he could, he was interrupted by Reko.
"I don't have long to live."
Reko interrupted, his face looking away, admiring the scene of destruction he had created on the pretty island.
