With the totally insane-looking and bloodthirsty Hisoka rushing at him, Alex raises his shield confidently.
His Aura... is strong... perhaps... stronger than mine! But does that really matter? This psychotic clown will regret ever looking at me!
"Insane, crazed fucker... I'll show you your limits!" Alex roars, not cowering defensively, and moves forward as well.
Drawing two cards, applying Shu to them, Hisoka pretends to strike at Alex, but jumps over him at the very last moment, throwing his cards at the same time, directly from above.
Alex, caught a little off guard by Hisoka's immense speed, first wants to dodge, but then decides to simply block the cards, raising his shield, choosing stability over a desperate and risky dodge.
Despite being just cards, they still make a loud impact as they tear across Alex's shield.
However, his shield, being of Gold Quality and ranked up, withstands the impact with only a single point of durability loss, though it's questionable whether it wasn't partially damaged already, making the damage extremely minor.
Compatibility plays a big role. Hisoka is a Transmuter. Logically speaking, he should not be a Shu master at all, with Enhancement at 80% and Emission at 60% efficiency. Especially because throwing weapons are the weapon of choice for Emitters, not Transmuters. However... just by choosing cards, his Nen is amplified, defying logic. These cards are dangerous; if I'm hit, they'll easily penetrate my armor and cause deep flesh wounds.
Still... now I know that my shield can block them without much of an issue...!
Jewel, meanwhile, does not simply spectate but fires a load of Namtaru Poison at Hisoka, forcing him to stop his attack and dodge, a drop of poison grazing his cheek regardless.
The single drop is toxic and strong enough to visibly erase part of the clown's makeup, making his eyes bulge out in surprise and delight.
"More!❤️ More!♣️ More!♦️ More!♠️" he yells maniacally.
"Fucking sicko. It's time I slit your throat," Alex states, spitting onto the ground as his anger bubbles over.
Soulmate! Use Gyo! This disgusting Peasant is just playacting! Don't fall for it.
Shocked, Alex uses Gyo and sees that his shield, which he just used to block Hisoka's attack, is connected to Hisoka, a long string of Nen connecting it.
Bungee Gum!
"Motherfucker!" Alex yells, swinging his sword to cut off the string.
However, Hisoka pulls on the string, dragging Alex forward and throwing off his sword's trajectory; the jester's strength immense, even compared to the physically strong Alex.
Immediately, Hisoka throws two more cards. Alex manages to raise his shield and block, but Hisoka once again sidesteps him, this time going in for a melee strike. Not fast enough to react, Alex gets punched in the face, his mask taking damage and cracking, partially revealing his face.

Jewel quickly reacts, using Namtaru Web Shoot to cover Hisoka with webs, not only stopping his attack, but also infecting him with Namtaru Poison, the special effect of her webs, along with their immense durability.

Alex smirks devilishly as he uses Reave on the surprised Hisoka, the Biotic attack landing cleanly, thanks to Hisoka's constricted movements.

Only 21 damage?! He has some kind of resistance... Also, no paralysis.
"Good! That hurts just right...♦️" he says, applying a layer of Bungee Gum to his shoe and then spinning in a circle, his cards cutting off Jewel's webs cleanly.
At the same time, Alex uses Warp, trying to detonate Hisoka while he's still affected by Reave and consistently taking damage. Coordinating with Alex, Jewel fires a Hidden Power at him.

However, through an almost miraculous dodge, Hisoka bends his body at a crazy angle before being magically pulled back toward a nearby tree, allowing him to avoid both attacks.
Still, Reave continues to deal damage, which gets further reduced with every tick, confusing Alex.

This shouldn't be possible?! He's getting used to Reave...?! Are his nerves adapting? No fucking way.
Anyway, no time to hesitate.
Alex immediately uses Gyo and, this time, finds no Nen attached to himself.
Finally, after damaging Hisoka a couple more times, the effect of Reave ends.
"That calmed me down ❤️," Hisoka says. "You see, my Bungee Gum possesses the properties of both rubber and g—"
"Shut the fuck up!" Alex yells, the iconic sentence somehow instantly triggering him into attacking as he rushes forward using Thundara Sword, his [Nimbus Cloak] granting him the familiar speed boost.
"How rude...♦️" Hisoka mutters, a hint of worry and annoyance appearing on his face.
Dodging desperately, Hisoka manages to avoid Alex's strike and even the Web Shoot that Jewel continues to fire at him.
As Hisoka comes closer, Jewel stabs at him, forcing him to evade, and Alex, with the magic about to dissipate, strikes at him again, only for Hisoka to dodge backwards.
Smiling, Alex unleashes a Flying Thundara Sword, aiming directly at Hisoka, who just dodged backwards and can't change direction in time.
Got you!
❤️ Die, Peasant Clown!
However, to Alex's shock, Hisoka once again magically gets pulled to the side, now toward a nearby shed.
"You..." Alex mutters, unable to believe what happened.
This is impossible! He didn't touch that place. He also didn't throw anything at it. He had that thread concealed with In... from the very beginning! I didn't even see it with Gyo.
Suddenly, Alex feels danger out of nowhere, approaching him from behind. As he spins around, he desperately raises his shield, blocking multiple projectiles, which turn out to be cards, while two more strike him in the chest, dealing no damage at all, his armor preventing all damage. However, Hisoka throws four more cards, which penetrate his armor easily, even with the barrier.

Hisoka, now casually sitting on the shed, smirks at him, playing with his deck of cards.
"You know... these were just normal cards... with just a tiny trace of Aura," Hisoka explains, looking amused. "Obviously, I can't use Shu for such a long amount of time; I'm not an Emitter, you know. ♦️"
Ignore him... Don't talk back.
"You see... I don't like to prepare, so as to challenge myself...♣️ but seeing as I'm up against two... forgive me for taking this one liberty. ♠️" he says in a sickly sweet, yet twisted voice, as he finally reveals a Joker.
Alex immediately reacts, instantly taking out and attempting to drink a [Twice-Infused Wiggenweld Potion Variant].
Hisoka reacts in a split second by throwing the Joker in his hand at him, but Alex dodges sideways, gulping down the potion and feeling his HP completely recover, along with his injuries and the bleeding, which instantly disappear.

"You talk too much," Alex says, smirking back. "So you set me up? Thanks for gloating... You'll pay for this."
He has advantages here. This was a trap to begin with. I just need to switch up the battlefield. He can't have covered a large field.
Alex then runs away, choosing to run past the sheds, trailers, and old buildings, toward a more or less empty field.
Hisoka, chasing after him, throws a bunch of cards, but misses Alex by a huge distance.
However, to Alex's shock, it turns out the cards hit invisible traps, and more and more cards suddenly fly at him.
He can do that?! He's using Bungee Gum like wires to set up traps! How did he even know I was gonna flee here?!
Having learnt from his mistake, he now ignores the cards, which deal no damage to him at all. However, to his annoyance, other objects like glass bottles and stones also get flung at him.
However, as they contain no Aura, Alex quickly reacts, using Ken for a brief moment, feeling no pain at all. However, after that, a dirtball crashes against him, dust covering his face, hindering his vision.
Motherfucker!
Soulmate, just keep running! Princess Jewel has more than a few eyes left that aren't blinded.
Good.
Alex, continuing to run and rub his eyes, uses Fire to throw a random spell backwards, not expecting to hit Hisoka at all, only using it for the additional speed boost.
However, to his utter surprise, a system message pops up.

You have ignited Hisoka
"Ugh..." the clown can't help but moan as his body is covered in flames. However, in one swift motion, he covers himself in Bungee Gum, instantly extinguishing the flames, as he crashes into an abandoned building.
Using that chance, Alex leaves the trailer park behind and steps out onto the open field, smirking at him.
"Do you dare to follow me here and fight me?" Alex yells confidently. "Or do you perhaps want to flee, little sad clown? Can't fight without your traps?"
"There is no use trying to rile me up...." Hisoka, now covered in a bit of debris, says in a quiet voice. "I've already told you... I'll kill you. This is the end for you... one way or another. Please, don't disappoint me now."
Soulmate. Princess Jewel can feel the Peasant's confidence and conviction. This Peasant really believes in himself. Despite his wounds, despite him having taken some damage, despite Soulmate having recovered, he seems to be totally convinced of his victory. But... Princess Jewel senses that something is off! He seems different.
Also... Princess Jewel has the feeling that he has somehow recovered! Her Poison, a few bleedings, the burns, even his makeup... he has returned to peak state.
Impossible. He can't use any Hatsu like that. He's using his Texture Surprise to hide his battle damage and restore his clothes. As for his state, he wasn't hurt too badly, so he's just faking it. He has that monstrous body. Don't overthink.
Princess Jewel may be wrong... please forgive her, Soulmate.
It's okay! Anyway, no need to back off, we can do this. All he has are tricks; he came prepared. Now he's at a clear disadvantage. We can take him now.
"You aren't the first arrogant lunatic I've killed," Alex declares, rage filling his voice, "And you won't be the last. Come at me, and I'll show you how useless you and your Hatsu are."
"Oh?" Hisoka wonders. "Please... show me."
He then throws more cards at Alex.
Alex, focusing his Aura on his [Draining Meteor Sword R2] and [Skullflame Shield R2], using Shu, skillfully cuts and smashes every last card away; this time, neither he nor his equipment takes a single point of damage. His movements are so sharp that the cards look no more dangerous than normal playing cards, the Aura inside of them quickly dissipating.
"You won't win like this," Alex mutters, slowly approaching Hisoka. "Also... are you already out of steam? These throws are fucking pathetic. You throw like a fucking girl. Keep wasting your Aura... or are you saving up?"
Princess Jewel will teach this clown the meaning of Pain!
Jewel, now fully in the mood to go all out, leaves Alex's head and no longer acts as living artillery.
She circles around Hisoka, forcing him to face both sides at once.
Jewel... Get ready for Stasis! Plan B2

"Show me what you got... foul spider!" Hisoka challenges them, looking satisfied.
