At a single gesture from the High Lord, the entire assembly shifted from stunned silence into precise, controlled motion. Orders were issued without being spoken aloud and were carried through subtle threads of magic and authority.
Within minutes, Grace and Rune found themselves being escorted deeper into the Citadel, past grand halls and chambers until they reached a place far more modern.
The Command Center.
It's vast circular walls shimmered with layered holographic projections. Streams of glowing data floated midair like constellations, shifting and reforming as if alive. At the center of the room stood a raised platform, where the High Lord and his inner council gathered.
Rune let out a quiet breath beside her. "Still as excessive as ever," he muttered.
Grace didn't reply as her attention was fixed ahead.
"We are ready," the High Lord announced once all the systems were ready to receive the information.
