As the Sunny sank deeper and deeper, the crew gazed in awe at the shimmering ocean around them.
Robin's voice was soft, contemplative. "The surface… it's so far away now."
Franky grinned, as he looked up. "Yeah, this view's something else! You don't get a window this big in a submarine, that's for sure!"
Chopper shivered slightly, his ears twitching. "It's… somewhat scary though."
Brook pointed dramatically, his voice echoing with excitement. "Yohoho! Guys, take a look over here!"
The crew turned to see the colossal roots of the Giant Mangrove forests stretching like pillars into the abyss.
Luffy's eyes sparkled. "Man, this is amazing—it's like a grand adventure in the ocean! Oh, a fish!" He dashed forward, face-planting against the bubble.
"Wahhh! You idiot, what the hell are you doing?!" Usopp cried.
Luffy stretched his arms desperately. "I can almost reach it!"
Zoro smirked, hand on his sword. "There's some tasty-looking fish over here too…" He halfway pulled his sword out, it's blade gleaming.
Nami's temper flared. "Cut it out already!" She bashed their heads in with a furious strike.
Lucas leaned against the railing, thoughtful. "I wonder how long it'll take to get there… I hope I get a chance to turn into Ripjaws while we're down here."
Nami straightened, commanding. "Alright, listen up! I'll explain everything Rayleigh taught me about the ship's coating."
Sanji's eyes locked onto her cleavage, "Ahhh… they moved…" His nose erupted in a geyser of blood, launching him skyward like a rocket.
"Sanjiiii!!!" Chopper and Usopp screamed.
Sanji muttered deliriously, "It's… a real live sexy girl…" as he shot through the bubble's surface.
The bubble stretched to its limit before spitting him out into the sea.
"Hold on!" Luffy shouted, stretching his arm to reel Sanji back.
Usopp panicked. "Keep it up, Luffy! Reel him back before he drowns!"
Luffy strained, the water messing up his strength as he pulled Sanji. "Chh… it's harder reaching into the sea!" Finally, he yanked Sanji back aboard, unconscious and soaked.
Brook shook his head, voice grave. "How terrible… What on earth could have happened to the lady-loving Sanji over the past two years? At this rate, he won't survive meeting the mermaids he's been pining for…"
Robin, ever composed, continued. "At any rate, as we just saw, this bubble functions the same as those in Sabaody."
Usopp threw his arms up. "How can you calmly carry on that conversation!?"
Nami continued to explain also ignoring Sanji's situation. "They'll stretch to a certain point, but if you exceed it, you'll burst through—like Sanji just did. Even if we fire pistols or cannons at wild beasts, the bubble won't pop. But multiple punctures, like a Sea King's fangs, could destroy it."
Chopper shrieked in the background, pointing. "Haaa!! Look behind us!" A massive fish lunged at the Sunny, jaws wide.
Before it could bite, an even larger fish bit the other fish, shaking the sea around them.
Nami concluded, "So long as we avoid major damage, we'll be fine."
Usopp and Chopper sighed in relief. "I see… it's actually pretty tough then."
The Sunny drifted past another school of fish. Luffy's fists clenched with excitement. "Hey, I bet I could grab all those fish if I used my Gatling!"
Zoro smirked. "Then let's have a contest—see who gets the most."
Lucas stepped forward, eyes gleaming. "Count me in."
Usopp and Chopper bashed their heads in unison. "Seriously, what's wrong with you?! Didn't you listen to Nami at all?!"
Lucas scratched his head sheepishly. "C'mon, it's not like we'd burst the bubble… we're gonna swim out there."
Usopp blinked. "Huh? But Luffy can't swim!"
Lucas chuckled slyly. "Fufu… check this out."
He raised his gauntlet—the Biomnitrix—its holographic interface glowing green.
"I've been working on this for while now. From Vilgax's blank DNA androids to Ben accidental mass transforming prisoners in that one episode… I always wondered if I could safely channel omni-energy into others. And now…"
He tapped the Omnitrix symbol. A surge of green energy burst forth, enveloping half the Sunny in a radiant glow.
Luffy's body shimmered. "Wahhh! My body's glowing!!"
Zoro staggered. "Hey… me too!!"
Their forms twisted, scales forming, fins sprouting—they transformed into Ripjaws.
Lucas puffed his chest proudly. "Tadaaa! I've finally managed to safely manipulate the Omnitrix's energy on others besides me!"
