Chapter 160 - Albert's Death

He squeezed her hands tightly when they got out of the plane. Both Greyson and Esmeralde were greeted by a man in a black suit.

"This way, sir and madam." The man said as he bowed and showed them the car not far from the plane.

He'd called Alex earlier for an explanation; however, Alex just brushed him off, saying he was barking up the wrong tree.

He threw his head on the headboard and closed his eyes, trying to calm himself down.

Emeralde hissed beside him, and he shot his eyes open.

"What happened?"

Emeralde bit her lower lip and looked down at their intertwined hands.

"Fuck! I'm so sorry." Greyson said as he pulled his hand away.

He'd been squeezing her hand too tightly.

-

"Welcome, sir," Henry, the butler, said, welcoming them.

"Where is he?"

"Shopping," Alex said as he passed by to the kitchen.

Before getting to the kitchen, he glanced at Emeralde and nodded.

Emeralde fidgeted with her fingers before nodding back at him.

"Does he know I was coming?" Greyson followed him.

"He does."

Scoff

"And he still went to that bloody shopping?"

Alex turned to him.

"Listen, Greyson, I have a lot on my plate. I don't need another headache. If you have a problem with Red Bull, sort it out with him."

He left after saying that.

Albert got everything he needed, and he hired a boat from a fisherman.

Now, standing on the deck, he stared at the ocean and smiled.

Memories flashed across his mind. A smile tugged at his lips

He didn't need anyone. He had whatever he wanted, one way or another. And then Katherine showed up. She started inserting herself into things that weren't necessary. She cared about only one thing: his money. But that was okay; at least he'd gotten rid of her.

He pushed the boat forward, determined to handle everything by himself.

His wealth, pride and charm were all gone.

And very soon everything would be over.

He regretted nothing.

The killings, the negligence- everything was done for a reason.

He was proud of himself.

He clasped his hands together and recited a prayer.

In the middle of the sea, strong winds began to howl. Thunder rumbled across the sky, and the waves grew increasingly violent.

Albert stood up, pulled a gun from his pocket, and aimed it at the boat.

He fired several shots.

Water began seeping through the holes as the boat rocked violently beneath his feet.

He smiled.

"Goodbye, world, and Fuck you, Hannah, for not helping me when I needed you most."

He raised his gun to his head.

Before he could pull the trigger, the boat lurched beneath him.

A powerful wave crashed against his side, throwing him off balance.

He gripped the gun tightly and shot himself in the head as he plunged into the raging sea.

The cold water swallowed him.

Within moments, the surface was stained with blood.

And the storm continued to rage.
