The room reeked of alcohol when they entered. Veronica lay on the bed, her hands and legs spread wide. Suzzy and Erica nodded to each other and walked towards her. They climbed the bed and began to search her for any clue.
Suzzy's eyes widened when she raised Veronica's dress. Erica rolled at her.
"She is always prepared."
There was a dagger which she had wrapped around her thigh.
They set the camera on the drawer to record everything. Erica puffs as she sits on the bed.
They needed a clue, but they were not getting anywhere.
"Found it!" Suzzy exclaimed. She waved her hand towards Erica. A smug plastered on her face when they found Veronica's phone.
Erica crawled to her. "Unlock it."
After several minutes, the phone couldn't unlock. They had tried fingerprint and password; however, it was to no avail.
"What now?" Suzzy asked, looking at her.
Erica side- eyed the dishevelled woman lying on the bed and looked back to her friend.
"No! Hell, am I doing that?" Suzzy argues.
"Heck yeah. It needs a face ID, and I doubt it her mask. It must be a real face."
"Girl, I'm not ready to see her face."
"Me either, but we have to do it anyway."
A sigh left her lips, and they both crawled down from the bed. They stood at the edge of it,t looking down on Veronica.
"Ready?" Erica asked.
"No? But fuck it."
They turned Veronica to face them. Their hands roamed on Veronica's face, trying to find the end of the mask.
"Anything?"
"No."
Suzzy raised Veronica's head. She raised her brows and studied her neck. Her fingers traced the sharp edge of Veronica's neck. She pulled her fingers away and rubbed them against each other.
"Found it," she exclaimed with a smirk.
Without hesitation, they pulled the mask halfway, but paused.
"OH SHIT!!"
"FUCK!"
They both cussed at the same time. Erica rushed to the bathroom, buried her face in the toilet, and vomited. She was horrified. Suzzy joined her in the bathroom.
She rinsed her face and stared at the mirror. "I'm going to have nightmares this evening."
"Me too." Erica cried.
Veronica's face had been disfigured. The incident that happened years ago left its mark on her face. There were unhealed scars and plastic surgery on the wrong side.
