The ground shook again. Claude grabbed my arm, and I instantly grabbed Mory's shoulder. "We need to get out," Claude said. He quickly carried Mory on his shoulder like a sack of rice.
"Where are you taking me?!" Mory shouted, kicking his feet. He must be terrified, but leaving him alone here was not an option.
"This room is collapsing. Do you want to be buried here alive?" I answered. His face paled, and he shook his head quickly. I still have so many questions, but that's not important right now. We got out of the room just before the door got blocked.
"Now, I miss Noir!" I exclaimed as I scanned the area.
There were cracks in the wall everywhere. Another roar from the monster below would send this house to the ground completely. Noir's ability would have been so helpful in finding the right path leading to Allen, but without him, Claude and I had no choice but to play a guessing game.
