The mansion's interior was just as impressive as its exterior. High ceilings stretched above them, illuminated by elegant chandeliers that cast a warm glow across polished marble floors. Paintings and family portraits lined the walls, while floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the glittering skyline beyond.
But despite this luxury surrounding them, not one servant, except the butler, was out. No anxious servants hurried through the hallways to tend to the sick young master.
The butler stopped in the spacious living room where two sets of large sofas were opposite each other, as if this family was large enough to occupy them. He turned to the Seekers and offered a polite smile.
"Please, wait here. I will arrange your rooms in a moment. So, excuse me." Then, he left.
