Jade continued before anyone could interrupt. "They're classified into three groups. Alpha, beta, and omega."
Captain Xian frowned. "Secondary gender…?"
"Think of it as another biological trait people are born with," Jade explained patiently. "A man remains a man. A woman remains a woman. But each person also belongs to one of those three categories."
"What does that have to do with us?" Xian asked grumpily. "We're outsiders!"
"That," Kenneth said quietly, "is exactly why this is happening."
He uncrossed his arms and stepped away from the kitchen counter. His usually carefree demeanor had vanished, replaced by the calm seriousness expected of Alpha Team's captain. As he walked toward the center of the living room, everyone's attention naturally shifted to him.
"We don't belong to this world," he continued. "Which means our bodies shouldn't have secondary genders in the first place."
His gaze briefly met Jade's.
