Uncle Mu, as previously mentioned, was an elite member of the military intelligence, highly regarded by his superiors at the time. Logically speaking, the young and promising Uncle Mu should have had a smooth and successful future ahead of him. However, fate did not smile upon him, as his immediate superior was entangled in factional strife.
The outcome for this superior was naturally a loss, and as his protégé, Uncle Mu could not escape unscathed either. Fortunately, his superior had made some precautions; he entrusted his only daughter and his wealth to Uncle Mu, who took them to the United States, while he himself met an inevitable death.
As for why Uncle Mu later did not contact Grandpa Mu and Grandma Mu, it was because he was still under surveillance by the intelligence agents. He dared not return to his homeland, nor did he dare contact his parents, fearing he would bring trouble upon them.
