The villagers there were an ethnic minority with many taboos, but fortunately, Gui was familiar with everyone, which made Sisi's interviews go smoothly.
During these ten days, their mood was quite low, for what they heard and saw was all full of negativity. In one village, people had died from eating moldy food, and others died from expired medicine or became seriously ill.
Such situations were commonplace, but what saddened Sisi the most wasn't these tragedies; it was that the villagers didn't bear any resentment towards the foundation. In their eyes, receiving these things was already seen as the height of generosity.
