After finishing all the paperwork, I started toward my room, where Elena and her mother would be. Honestly, I'd thought a lot about killing Elena's mother for hurting her in the past.
But I'm someone who understands the why and the context, and besides, Elena clearly doesn't hold a grudge against her because she also understands the family "rules" that got her kicked out. So I won't do anything too terrible to her.
