"Lets go!" Leroy said as he leapt up into the air! Dezzi was already on their feet, slipping a vial from their bag and downing the liquid. Causing their body to begin growing and transform into an artificially triggered Sulong!
"Atmo! Grand Precip Shower!" The Fishman aimed the staff into the sky, dark clouds shooting from the end and high up into the sky! The Kraken was already looming over them at a quarter a kilometer, so he needed to not only get it up there but also needed to have it cover the entire lake!
The man grit his teeth as he began to sweat. It took immense amounts of strength to generate this Cumulus cloud, but the moment was ready! He swiped his staff down and commanded the rain to storm!
Streaks of yellow rumbled inside as the water slammed into the skin of the Sea Creature. It did no damage, but damage was not his intention. If Deckard was up there, they needed to make sure that when they went up against those cards of his they they could deal with them quickly!
"Noir! Help please!" Jeanne waved to the Chef, who quickly swooped the Markswoman into his arms and leapt into the air before landing on a platform on the right side of the Monster from the front
"Hey! A little help?" Kirk asked Kale, who rolled his eyes before simply wrapping his arm around his waist and leaping to another platform.
Eddie leapt easily into the air, Cali flew through the air with a metal platform while Raven grew arms from her back and pushed her up into the air as they extended before absorbing back into her once she land
The crew was on the opposite side of the Kraken from where Deckard was, standing on the arm with the shining stump of diamond.
Deckard crossed his arms, cards piling at the ends of his palms, floating in mid air. He then extended his arms in an arc, the cards spreading out in front of him just as they would on a table. There was two dozen of them, all empowered!
It had already been 60 seconds since his last used card, meaning he had all 40 face cards to use again at his disposal!
"Dealers Choice!" With quick flicks of his fingers, he commanded the cards to zip through the air with incredible speed. The Cards were the following.
Hearts; 6: Which transformed into the visage of the head of a Doberman that dwarfed could dwarf a 5 story building, 2: That turned into a paw like a wolf, 3: the Jaws of a Canine in skeletal form, 7: A giant dog that was 100 ft tall, nearly as big as the width of the Sea Kings arm, 8: Instead of a Giant Dog, instead the skull of one was formed, it was more massive almost the size of a city block!
A 5 of hearts was a 25 foot tall Dog Claw, and the final Heart, a 4 was in the shape of the bone from a dog's tail!
Spades: A 5, 4, 6, 2, 7 and a 3
Clubs: 5, 3, 4 and a 6
Diamonds: 3, 5, 2, 4, 6, 7
With all of these speeding towards the group, it was like a total barrage! Even if it was merely a bit over just half the deck of face cards!
'60 seconds starts now…' Deckard thought to himself.
"Holy Fuck!" Leroy screamed as the giant structures from the Hearts zipped towards them! It was a good thing that these cards were affected structurally by the storm above them, but they were still like stone!
Kirk jumped out of the way as a the 8 of spades caused a gash in the flesh of the beast that seemed to stretch for almost 50 meters! Shooting across almost half the forearm of Kraken!
The other Spades were similar in strength but progressively weaker until the 2 caused merely a crater 10 meters wide. A mere pot mark on the Beast skin.
Fire also began to erupt in high pillars up to two dozen meters tall like massive bonfires!
The next to come in quick succession was the Diamonds! As they flew through the air, the cards began to shimmer and shine, growing large crystals of carbon!
Kale was quick to swat many of them out of the way, where they crashed into the platforms or across the beast's body creating more space to land on!
However, the lower numbers were easy to deflect, even the 4 that had covered the entire arm of the beast only did so because it was an extremely thin layer. The higher numbers, 5, 6, and 7 were growing into large projectiles! Growing with thick chunks of the pure carbon crystal!
'Let's test my might…Measure the distance between me and him…' Kale thought with clear and thorough determination!
Diamonds. One of the Hardest Materials on the Face of the Planet. But not the toughest. That was an important distinction. Toughness is the amount of Damage something can take before suffering. Hardness is the sturdiness of the object, and the property to keep shape. But this by no means was an understatement of their strength.
Sure, you could crack a diamond with a hammer, or have it chip if not handled correctly. But this is because they are small. The internal structure gets more complicated the bigger it gets.
It was a feat of strength and skill for a swordsman to cut any diamond with a single blow. And that was only able to be done by those that can cut steel, and with a blade made of quality metal.
These diamonds however? Were multiple dozens of meters tall and long. Each getting bigger and bigger than the last. A simple Flying Slash would not do. It needed to be done with contact!
"Nitoryu…" Thoom! Kale thrust forward! Feet quickly slamming against the ground and allowing him to cross the dozen meters in a millisecond before leaping off the platform he was on, cracking it as he flew into the air to meet the zipping diamonds!
"Hitogoroshi-Ken!" The crystal shimmered in the brilliant orange red light of Hard Rock island, Kale's arms flexed his muscles and began let them fire off! Throwing his arms forward with precision! He swung his right arm with the IV first!
The Firstmates arm strained as he could feel the crystal begin to give way! The blade of the IV beginning to cut through as he sped past! With a follow through, Kales sword left the Diamond!
Then, Kikimori in his left did the same, slicing into the crystal as his face grimaced with exertion before it too was swung out of the gem!
The only one left was the 7 of hearts! Bringing his swords over his head, he watched as the crystal was about to slam into him! But just before it did, he released his swords downward! The blades both slammed into the crystal!
The first mate was not only fighting against the natural hardness of the stone, but also against its supernatural durability granted by being connected to its manifestor! Even if it was just a fraction equivalent, it made this task all the more difficult!
But Kale was a man that was aiming for the top! Mere diamond cannot stop him! With his two blades, the crystal was being sliced right down the middle, both sides of the running past Kale before he was all the way through!
Behind him as he finally made his way through the final diamond the others felt the cuts, and split into two!
