The disciple was left in shock after hearing the actual reason for the other to reject their request. He doesn't fully believe him and came to a conclusion that there might be another reason, the real one to be exact.
The disciple knew not to force someone who isn't willing to give them their aid, so just as the disciple was about to bid farewell to Lianhua,Someone suddenly slammed the door open!
Lianhua complained "That almost gave me a heart attack! Both of you are literally the first people to slam open a stranger's house! Have some respect atleast..."
"s-senior brother?" The disciple,shocked as he may be, knew the reason for this and so, he quickly came up and apologized to his senior brother for not persuading the healer to help them, or so, he did not even persuade him right!
"you may leave Yu Chen,I will handle the rest."
"But senior brother,he isn't willi-"
"Oh is that so? Then let me shove that laziness of his right into his face."
"I can hear you, idiot." Lianhua couldn't take it anymore "How mannerless of a senior brother, without even introducing himself, was raging in at a stranger's house and even insulted the one who lives in it.You even destroyed my door."
Lianhua sadly took a glance at his very own door,wich was now sadly broken in half.
The senior brother was offended, but what the other person said was right and he must first calm himself but calling him an idiot? He couldn't contain his anger anymore.
But he must stay calm, because he need this person because only he can possibly solve their problem at hand.
Persuading him is not enough so he must immediately think of a way to make him accept their help.
".....my name is Xiao Li Zi, I'm an immortal cultivator of the Chundu Sect. Please forgive me my manners."
After hearing this,Lianhua suddenly bursts into laughter! "X...Xiao Li Zi? Hahahaha!!"
Lianhua continuously laugh.Xiao Li Zi couldn't say anything.
It seems like he never regretted having this name.
Xiao Li Zi looked back and signaled Yu Chen to go outside and keep an eye at the horses outside the village.
"You done laughing?"
"Haha...this name of yours doesn't suit you at all! Well, only if you were still a little chi-"
Suddenly, a familiar flashback made Lianhua stop.This tingling feeling of familiarity after hearing the name 'Xiao Li Zi' has never left his chest.
It seems like he has encountered this person before,but couldn't recall when but most importantly, how?
"So, can we now get back to our topic?" Xiao Li Zi finally spoke.
"No is a no."
"Why?"Xiao Li Zi angrily asked.
"Because.....I'm just lazy, that's all."Lianhua chuckled and smiled a bit.
Xiao Li Zi knew that this is not the truth.
"I know you're scared, but our Sect is at line here!"
"And I don't want to lose anoth-!" Lianhua stopped mid sentence and knew that he almost slipped something he shouldn't have.
He could only clench his fist. He knew himself that if he help another dying patient, he would never recover from the past experiences nor continue being the 'Immortal Healer'.
He knew that he was never worthy of the title people gave to him and just acting along his own facade.
But desperately as he is, Xiao Li Zi wanted to know more "I heard you only accept patients who only have common illnesses such as cold,fever,and a bit worser than that."
"I'm not going."Lianhua said this with a more serious tone that is different from before.
Xiao Li Zi was shocked after hearing it. He haven't asked about it yet Lianhua seems to hate excuses.
"...I see." Xiao Li Zi was tired and so he could only use this little 'trick'.
Xiao Li Zi slowly walked closer to Lianhua who is still sitting. After that, he trapped Lianhua by straining it's arms onto the arms of the chair.
"W-what are you doing?!"Lianhua was so confused and looked at Xiao Li Zi.
Xiao Li Zi leaned closer to Lianhua's ears and whispered "do you want to be stuck at the same place with the fear strangling you?"
Lianhua trembled as the warm breath of the whispherer infront oh him touched his ear.
Xiao Li Zi was right.
He realized that, having the fear strangle him for so long will not change anything, much less for a better outcome. He realized that he must overcome this and help the one's who is in desperate need of his help.
Suddenly, someone teasingly pecked his ear.
But just as Lianhua could react, someone was staring at the both of them.
"Senior brother...?" Yu Chen was standing in the door holding a plates of dishes, blushing a little bit with the scene infront of him.
Lianhua suddenly realized that Yu Chen's perspective was different from there, well mostly because of what just happened, and he might cause a misunderstanding in this scene right in front of him!
"I-its not what you think!" Lianhua yelled as he tried to break free from Xiao Li Zi's hands.
Xiao Li Zi realized that he has been strangling Lianhua for a long time, so he quickly released his hands from him and quickly turn away.
"Yu Chen." He called out.
"Y-yes senior brother"
"Ready the horses for tomorrow, but before that, find a place for both of us to sleep. Oh, and also, it seems like our 'medical herbalist' here is still unwilling to help us, so we must depart early in the morning to return to our sect. I know that it's a long travel from here but we couldn't delay any further since we still have important matter in our hands to actually deal with."
"Yes, senior brother..."
"....bout it."
"What?" Xiao Li Zi turn to Lianhua who was saying something but in a tone of uncertainty.
"I-i'll think about it..."
Xiao Li Zi smiled upon hearing his response.
"Very well, then we'll be waiting for your final decision tomorrow." Xiao Li Zi has finally felt the feeling of accomplishment, but a part of him still worries for Lianhua.
Yu Chen placed two plates of dish at Lianhua's table. It's stir-fried vegetables and spicy Wontons!
Lianhua was shocked to see his favorite dishes!
"How did you know? These were my..."
"I asked the owner of the small restaurant nearby of what dish do you always get in their menu and so, I added them to my orders!"
Lianhua always met these types of people,mostly patients. But for this little disciple here, It's different. He felt some sort of familiarity that he just cannot ignore and recall when and who he just encountered this day.
"...Thank you, and also, I recommend the both of you to stay at a small hotel not far from here called 'Nightly Dreams'. This is the least I can do to repay for these delicous meals."
Lianhua couldn't think of some other things to pay back for those meals, so he chose the famous hotel in their village.
When the two cultivators left, Lianhua began eating the meals that was given to him and devoured everything that was on it and it really stuffed him full.
After eating, he then took a hot bath, changed to his comfortable clothes and lay down the bed to rest.
