Chapter 276 - Chapter 275: Creating Hype for the Auction

Gladion leaned back in his chair and pressed a button on his intercom.

"Kai, Mira, please come to my office," he said clearly.

A moment later, the door opened. Kai and Mira walked in together. The brother and sister duo had been with Gladion since they were young kids.

He had taken them under his wing when they showed promise as trainers and a real hunger to learn. Over the years, they had grown into invaluable assistants. They handled most of the day-to-day operations of the gym, scheduling challengers, managing training sessions, overseeing the ranch, and now helping run Vortex Industries projects.

Gladion trusted them completely. They were more than employees. They were family.

Kai, tall and energetic with messy brown hair, gave a quick grin. Mira, shorter with neat black hair tied in a ponytail, carried a tablet and looked ready to take notes. Both wore the gym's dark uniform with the Vortex logo on the sleeve.

Gladion gestured for them to sit. "We would be hosting an auction soon."

He leaned forward and folded his hands on the desk. "The revived fossils of each species and three of each would be sold individually. They would be the main event along with the mega evolution stones. Make sure to find the most tame male ones. We would be only selling males to stop people from trying to breed them."

The revived fossil Pokemon were often aggressive right after revival. Their minds still carried ancient instincts. Some snapped at handlers or tried to escape the moment they left their Poke Balls. Gladion had seen it happen during early tests.

He did not want any incidents at the auction. New trainers needed calm, manageable Pokemon. Selling only males also prevented buyers from starting their own breeding programs.

Kai nodded seriously. "We already separated the calmer ones in the holding pens. Mira and I have been working with them every day. The Kabuto group has three really gentle males. The Aerodactyls are trickier, but we found a couple that respond well to commands."

Mira added, "We are running final temperament tests tomorrow. Any that show aggression get pulled from the list."

Gladion gave a small nod of approval. "Good. Security would be handled by some of my Pokemon as well as gym Pokemon. But I have also contacted the local Officer Jenny to ask for some help. She would be sending a team for the event."

He continued without pause. "The auction house building is almost ready. We have reinforced the main hall, added private bidding rooms, and set up live-stream cameras. My Pokemon will patrol the perimeter. Gym staff will handle crowd control inside. Officer Jenny's officers will cover entrances and check invitations."

Kai leaned back with a cheeky smile. "Boss, I do not think anyone would try to do anything bad with you here. No one wants to anger the Team Rocket slayer and the master of the legendaries."

Gladion gave a wry smile at those titles. The nicknames had spread after his battles against Team Rocket and his appearances with Latios and Latias. He found them a little embarrassing, but they served a purpose. They kept troublemakers away.

He shook his head lightly. "Do not get too comfortable. We prepare for every possibility. Now, show me the message that you would be circulating on social media about the auction."

Mira tapped her tablet and turned the screen toward Gladion. The draft message appeared in bold, eye-catching text.

"Attention trainers, collectors, and dreamers of the extraordinary! Vortex Auction House presents its inaugural event, the first-ever public sale of revived ancient Pokemon! Step into history as we offer carefully selected males from each lineage. These prehistoric warriors, brought back from extinction by Vortex Industries, are ready to join the strongest teams in the world. Witness the power of the past unleashed in the present. Bidding will be fierce, and only the boldest will claim these treasures. Live stream begins soon. Do not miss the moment that changes Pokemon battling forever! #VortexAuction #RevivedLegends #AncientPowerReturns"

The second paragraph built more excitement. "Exclusive mega evolution stones will also cross the block, stones that can unlock forms never seen before in Indigo or Hoenn. Add to that one-of-a-kind held items, evolution enhancers, and limited-edition Vortex gear. This is not just an auction. It is a showcase of what the future holds for trainers who dare to reach higher. Invitations are limited to the most influential names across three regions, but everyone can watch the drama unfold live. Tune in, place your virtual bids if allowed, and see history made!"

"Vortex Auction House, where the impossible becomes yours. Mark your calendars. The date is set. The legends are waiting. Will you be part of the revolution? Follow for updates, and prepare to witness the rebirth of power! #OwnThePast #VortexRising"

Gladion read it twice, then nodded. "This is good. Make the font bolder on the hashtags. Add a short video clip of one of the revived Aerodactyl flying in training. That will hook people right away."

Kai raised an eyebrow. "But boss, why are we circulating this message? Normally people would not be able to afford any of the items in the auction. Heck, they would not even be able to attend. Only the most influential people are going to be invited."

Gladion leaned back with a small smile. "And that is why I am the boss and you are not, Kai. There is a reason we want everyone to know about the auction. There is a reason we are going to stream the auction live."

He explained patiently. "Many of the rich people have egos. They would not want to be humiliated in front of the entire regions if they fail to buy something and show their wealth. So they would be bidding beyond their limits. The public watching live adds pressure. Every bid becomes a performance. They will fight harder to win, and prices will climb higher than we could ever get in a closed room."

Kai's eyes widened as he understood.

Gladion then spoke about the items that would be in the auction. "In the first auction, only items from Vortex Industries would be offered. We would put up the finest revived fossil Pokemon, rare mega stones, and other exclusive goods. Gym leaders, businessmen, collectors, and rich people from all three regions- Indigo, Hoenn, and Johto would receive personal invitations."

He continued. "The goal is to set high prices and establish Vortex as the premier marketplace for rare Pokemon and items. Media coverage would be massive. Every sale would make headlines. Prices would climb as wealthy collectors tried to outbid each other. Vortex would keep one hundred percent of the profits from this initial event."

Gladion kept going. "In the next auctions, others would be able to put their items up for sale. Trainers, breeders, and collectors could consign rare Pokemon, held items, or artifacts. Vortex Auction House would handle everything, authentication, security, promotion, and bidding. We would take a ten percent charge on each sale. This commission would become a steady revenue stream. It would encourage more people to use the platform. The house would grow into a trusted marketplace, similar to high-end art auctions but for Pokemon."

"Alright," Gladion said as he stood up. "The briefing is done here. Chop chop. We have a lot to do."

Kai and Mira stood at once. They gave quick salutes, half playful and half serious. Then hurried out to their tasks.
