Chapter 61 - Chapter 59: Stupid Again [The Start of Book Three]

4th Day of the 1st Fire Cycle[1], 2000 g.c.

While Omnia and I were… occupied—let's just say, getting deeply familiar with every inch of each other's body—Alex was busy holding it down on the north side of Talasi. Under the gentle hum of nearby lanterns and the silver glow of Gaia's tri-moons, he stood with three women who carried the kind of energy that said they weren't here for small talk.

The Daughter of Melech, Ameera Una, held herself with noble pride, but even that pride couldn't mask the weight pulling her shoulders down—the heavy heart of a woman desperate for help. Her voice cracked with frustration as she pleaded her case to Alex, explaining the chaos unraveling back home. The Una Clan, once the backbone of North Velonica's peacekeeping and beast-hunting efforts, had been shattered. Their absence was already being felt—the mana beasts, wild and bloodthirsty, were terrorizing the unprotected villages surrounding the ruins of what used to be Vivian.

Nicole, sharper with her words and clearly more grounded in the details, picked up where Ameera faltered. Her voice was steady, but the memory she painted was anything but.

"I watched it happen," Nicole explained. "The Harlequin Witch didn't just attack women... She killed children as well. Took every man, like they were sheep under some spell. It was a complete slaughter." Her eyes drifted down for a beat, regret clouding her gaze. "We were told to seek the assistance of the Devil of Velonica, but the captain and I got info about some lycans being spotted near the Sycamore Tree. I went to check it out while Ameera helped Captain Melech recover."

The atmosphere tensed as Nicole's voice softened to a whisper meant for those standing close. "That's when I ran into Dream Flower… about a month ago… returning from Endora. And we both followed the captain's trail until we found Ameera, broken in a bloody puddle with no signs of Captain Melech."

Dream Flower, arms crossed and an ever-present sly smirk curling her lips, tilted her head. "I'm impressed you are so invested in this man. Starting to think this captain of yours is more than a commanding officer." Her eyes sparkled with playful accusation.

"Shut it, Dream," Nicole snapped, but her cheeks betrayed her with the slightest pink hue. "I'm just doing what Captain Melech would've done if it were me… what I should have done… a long time ago," she added under her breath, barely audible.

Dream Flower's smirk widened. "Well, my request's a little different from theirs." Her eyes slid toward Alex with teasing curiosity. "And no offense to you…?"

"Alex," he replied coolly.

"Yeah, Alex." She waved him off dismissively. "No offense, but I'd rather save my story for the Devil of Velonica himself. Since he's here in town, maybe you can introduce us?"

Alex took a beat, his scarlet eyes glinting under the moonlight. Behind him, Gaia's massive ring gleamed across the sky like the universe had hung up spotlights just for this moment. He ran a hand through his long, white dreadlocks, the strands shimmering like threads of silver flame.

"Fine." His lips curled into a smirk. "Let's see if this nigga ain't mad at me."

Closing his eyes, Alex reached out through the Crest, weaving his mana with [Telepathy] to send me a message. But… he wasn't getting through. My little moment with Omnia had [Moon Sage: Tsukuyomi] cutting off all interruptions, giving us our uninterrupted… bonding time.

Alex's brows furrowed. "That's strange."

Dream Flower snorted, arms crossed tightly. "What's that look? Don't tell me this is your first time not being able to perform under pressure." Her grin was pure trouble. "Men love using that excuse."

Alex opened his eyes and locked onto hers, his playful vibe gone in an instant. His scarlet glare sent a ripple of unease through the air, and Dream's smirk faltered as she raised her hands in mock surrender.

"I ain't never been a liar," Alex said coolly. "If I tell you Xiro is my big bro, that's what it is. He's probably just busy with something that needs all his attention."

"Fine." Dream Flower backed off with a shrug. "Guess I'll wait."

But Ameera's concern cut through the teasing. "I'm not sure we can wait." Her voice trembled beneath the noble restraint. "My father… Captain Una… his temper, his grief… It's made him reckless. He'll say or do something that gets him killed before long. Especially with the Panty Raiders."

Nicole nodded. "I can agree with you there. Captain Melech's not in the right state of mind."

Alex's jaw tightened. "How long's he been in their hands?"

"A day," Ameera answered. "Taken by a red Imp woman. She… she overpowered us with powerful Blood Magick. A corrupted variant of Water Mana... Twisted. Vicious."

The mention of that Imp woman froze Alex in place for half a heartbeat, his mind spiraling straight into vengeance. His fists clenched tight, the veins in his forearms bulging as a dangerous spark ignited beneath his calm. The thoughts of his father's murder flooded his thoughts—the betrayal, the loss, the raw ache of it.

"You said a female Imp?" His voice was low, sharp as a blade. "She with some pale-skinned bastard? Thick brows, dark, messy-ass hair, talks funny?"

Ameera nodded slowly. "Yes. She called him… Bo… or Bow… something like that."

That was all he needed: Beau Soleil and that Imp—the ones responsible for his father's death. A fire roared to life inside him, his mana signature leaking into the night air like smoke off smoldering embers. The tension thickened, crackling around him, red mana swirling like vaporized blood.

"I'll do it. I'll save him for you."

Nicole's eyes widened at the sudden weight of Alex's presence, the raw power rolling off him like a storm front. A grin twitched at the corner of her lips, but she quickly buried it. Nicole's mana pulsed faintly, a subtle quiver betraying the quiet storm coiled under her skin.

"If he's really that strong," Nicole thought to herself, "he might just be able to take out the Harlequin Witch… as long as she doesn't expose my secret first…"

But Nicole wasn't the only one sizing him up. Ameera's eyes sparkled with renewed hope, seeing Alex in a different light entirely. No longer just the Devil's brother—he was a scarlet-cloaked savior, her only real shot at rescuing her father.

"Lord Alex…" she breathed. "Would you really… rescue him? The Witches of the Panty Raiders… they're—"

"Powerful mana users. Yeah." Alex's gaze darkened. "But if that Imp was one of them… this is mutually beneficial."

Dream Flower whistled low, arms still folded. "Okay… I admit… you're stronger than I thought. But don't get cocky, pretty boy. You ain't taking down the entire Endora sector alone. The Devil of Velonica? Maybe. But not his little brother."

Nicole shrugged. "We don't need him to kill them all. Just… enough."

Dream Flower shook her head, amused. "Why gamble? If you want a guaranteed victory… You bring the Devil in."

Alex's eyes narrowed toward the horizon. The tri-moons reflected in his scarlet gaze, burning with focus, fury, and a promise yet to be spoken.

Having had just about enough of the back-and-forth between the women debating his chances, Alex let his silence do the talking. His scarlet eyes narrowed, and with a subtle breath, he activated his [Heavenly Wolf] skill. To him, the skill felt like a lingering parting gift from his father. A reminder, a promise… and now, the wings that would carry him to his vengeance.

Feathers of iridescent light flickered into existence behind him as his back sprouted wide, ethereal wings. They shimmered with a subtle opalescent glow that pulsed softly in rhythm with his mana. Mana-created ears elongated, shifting into canine points on top of his dreads that twitched instinctively to the sounds around him. The change put an immediate hush on the squabbling.

Nicole's eyes widened slightly at the sight, the corners of her mouth twitching as she tried — and failed — to hide her impressed stare. Even Dream Flower, ever snarky, paused her attitude, her curious gaze running over Alex with more respect than before.

But it was Ameera who reacted the most visibly. Her white-tipped tail flicked once, betraying her excitement as her eyes roamed from his wings to his glowing crimson stare. She was flustered.

As his wings gently folded down, the light fading just enough not to blind them, Alex extended an arm toward Ameera. His hand hovered there, a romantic yet commanding gesture, as his eyes burned softly with scarlet mana.

"Will you show me where their hideout is?" His voice carried that dangerous calm — the sound of a man whose patience had officially run out.

Ameera's heart skipped a beat. She had prayed for help, dreamt of salvation, but never imagined it'd arrive wrapped in the form of a Tengu with vengeance etched into his stare. Her hesitation crumbled under the weight of hope and desperation.

"You're… a Tengu?" she breathed, almost in awe. "This… this is excellent news! Yes… Please save my father."

Tengu had a reputation — warriors of legend, few seen outside their mountain homes, especially down south. Even Nicole's skepticism cracked under that revelation. The odds weren't looking so impossible now.

Dream Flower, however, crossed her arms with a pout. "Wait, wait, wait… so if you're taking his help… does that mean I don't get to meet the Devil of Velonica? You telling me I traveled all this way for nothing?"

Alex tilted his head, his patience tested, but not broken. "If you take me to where they are, I promise you… Xiro will show up before it's over with."

Dream studied him for a long moment, weighing his words like currency. Then, with a small shrug, she relented. "Whatever. But if you can't hack it alone, and he's a no-show? We're gone. I'm not dying over this. I've got someone important to rescue, too."

Ameera reached into her pouch, retrieving a tightly rolled map, the parchment creased with wear. She unfurled it, revealing a freshly updated layout of Arcadia, one commissioned just months after the Great Earthquake. The cartographers had wasted no time erasing Goblin Cave after our Taurus encounter reduced it to rubble.

"The Panty Raiders have an established sector here." Nicole pointed to the large, mystical tree symbol near the northern edge of Velonica. "The Great Sycamore Tree of Endora."

Nicole traced her finger along the map, brow furrowed. "Endora's nearly a month's march north. Chief Roman, Captain Melech's older brother… he's been their prisoner for five month-cycles. If he's even alive."

Alex's wings rustled with anticipation as he looked from the map to them. "Who said we're walking? Hold on to my arms."

Ameera blinked, surprised. "You're… flying us there?"

Nicole's expression soured. "You're insane. We can't all fit—"

Dream Flower cut in with a mischievous grin. "Don't worry about me. I can fly."

Nicole's brow arched. "Huh? You ain't got wings, though."

"Not yet."

With a confident smirk, Dream Flower turned her attention to Alex. A visible glaze of magickal energy coated her skin as she channeled a quarter of her Bio Mana through her circuits. The glow intensified as her mana warped the air around her, and with a melodic hum, she activated her Ultra Skill.

"Put your records on… [Corinne Bailey Rae]."

A burst of magitons and photons bloomed around her, momentarily enveloping her in a shimmer of color before fading to reveal a perfect, carbon copy of Alex Zo. Wings, ears, the whole damn package — standing there like a mirrored reflection.

Alex blinked, visibly thrown for a second. "What the hell—? You're a shapeshifter?"

Dream's grin widened. "We're called Changelings. I don't call your kind flying dogs, do I?"

"My bad." Alex chuckled. "Caught me by surprise, that's all."

Nicole sighed, adjusting her gear. "Alright then. Ameera, you ride with him. I'll ride on Dream Flower."

Dream snickered. "Hope those titties ain't as heavy as they look, girl."

"Dream, shut up. Be serious."

Ameera hesitated, her ears twitching nervously. "A-Are you sure? I mean… I'm not… against it."

Nicole smirked. "You've got the map, right? We'll be close behind."

Alex tightened his grip around Ameera's waist, lifting her effortlessly into his arms. The closeness made the fox-lycanthrope visibly fluster, a small, breathy moan escaping her lips before she slapped her hands over her mouth in pure embarrassment. His cocky grin widened.

"Hold on tight," Alex teased. "This'll be both our first time."

"First time? What do you—"

But he didn't give her a chance to finish. With a powerful leap, Alex soared into the night sky, wings unfurling like radiant blades as he shot toward the northern horizon, vengeance burning in his chest… and the warmth of a growing romance resting in his arms.

The wind whipped against them as Alex's wings sliced the air. Talasi's glowing rooftops shrank beneath them, the tri-moons casting their path north like a silver road through the clouds.

Dream Flower watched them vanish into the distance, her expression softening slightly. "Almost jealous how cute they look together."

Nicole's gaze followed them, uncertainty shadowing her features. "You think he can actually pull this off?"

Dream shrugged. "Don't know. But from how my Ultra Skill got restricted copying him? He's definitely stronger than I am."

Nicole's lips pressed into a tight line. "I just hope we don't end up dead. None of us packed health potions."

Dream's smirk returned. "I hope he's right about the Devil showing up. I wouldn't be following this reckless plan otherwise."

"Neither would I," Nicole admitted, though her pulse betrayed her nervous energy.

Dream Flower's eyes glinted playfully. "That flux in your mana signature says you'd do anything for your Captain."

"Dream… shut up."

With that, Dream's new wings — real and replicated — stretched wide, and the two took off after Alex and Ameera, uncertainty riding their backs, but a faint thread of hope pulling them forward into the heart of danger. Toward the witches' nest… toward Endora… and whatever fate waited beneath the Great Sycamore Tree.

While Alex soared north, the Sycamore Tree's guests arrived in waves of silk and sin. Twelve hours later, near the midnight hours of the nighthalf, the tri-moons of Gaia began their slow, commanding climb to the zenith of the sky. Their soft glow bathed the forest below, casting their mixed hues of blue, violet, and pearl across the towering landscape. Clouds drifted lazily across the moons, their shadows playing a game of peekaboo against the forest floor and the thick branches of the Sycamore Tree of Endora. The clouds moved like restless spirits, veiling and unveiling the silvered moonlight with a teasing grace.

Beneath the sprawling, ancient canopy of the Great Sycamore Tree, the land buzzed with an unsettling mix of elegance and secrecy. Wealth oozed from every carriage that arrived—polished gold accents, embroidered silks, mana-fused wood polished to perfection. It was old skool flexin'. That loud, arrogant game of "who got the most coins?".

Noble clan leaders, politicians, merchants of shadowy influence — they all came dressed to impress and deceive. Laughter and quiet whispers drifted through the clearing, the kind of polite conversation that hid threats behind every smile.

At the grand entrance carved into the trunk of the Sycamore Tree, standing like an exotic guardian, was Luvina Puff. The ashen chocolate-skinned beauty had always known how to wield her body as a weapon, and tonight was no different — only more refined, more dangerous. Normally, the mana crystal embedded between her breasts would pour a steady stream of magickal energy that crafted a nearly-nude outfit. A constant, teasing display of flesh and fantasy—her pelvis modestly shielded by crossing belts that left nothing to the imagination.

But tonight, she'd reshaped her image, though not her intentions.

Elegant silk-like fabric, birthed from her own Bio Mana, clung to her curves in the form of a sheer, high-slit gown. The material shimmered with faint, lustrous magitons, reflecting a sensual, almost ethereal quality. It gave her the appearance of a madam running the grandest brothel in the world — fitting, considering the Sycamore Tree would become exactly that before the night was over.

The clip-clop of horses approached, pulling a carriage that gleamed beneath the moonlight. Two sleek, black steeds brought the vehicle to a halt. The door creaked open, and out stepped a man with bronze-toned skin, his posture effortlessly poised, betraying the seasoned warrior that lay beneath his extravagant fox-style mask. His thick, white beard curled at his jawline, the only hint of age allowed to escape his otherwise concealed face.

Two women in flowing black hijabs moved quickly to his side, their steps measured, graceful. Silent protectors or wives, it wasn't immediately clear.

"Ahh, Madam Puff." The man's voice was rich, confident, tinged with the faintest accent of the Holy Lands. "It is such a pleasure to see your beauty again in person. It's me, Lord Alamut."

His eyes lingered on her for half a second too long. Calculating. Measuring. Luvina returned the look with the practiced ease of a predator sizing up another.

Luvina's smile was practiced, warm, and false. "Lord Alamut, I'm so glad you could join us this evening. To think… a visit from Babylonia. Tell me, will Lord Babylon be joining us as well?"

Hassan Alamut chuckled, stroking his beard. "No, I'm afraid Lord Babylon doesn't find enjoyment in these types of… gatherings."

"Understandable." Luvina's eyes narrowed playfully. "Not many dive headfirst into their vices and still remain steadfast in their direction. It's why I've come to respect men like you, Lord Alamut."

The older man laughed again, softer this time. "Ohohoho… I'm just an elderly man enjoying his twilight years."

"Please, enjoy yourself inside. I'll find you later… perhaps we can share a glass."

"Ahh, I do look forward to it. Come, my wives… we have a night of enjoyment to dwell in."

As the esteemed nobleman and his companions made their way into the Sycamore Tree, Luvina's polished smile dissolved the moment they passed out of view. The Umdori's smoky grey coated eyes darkened with quiet calculation, her thoughts swirling sharper than her curves.

"Babylon must've sent him to spy on our event…" she thought, her fingers lightly brushing over the embedded mana crystal on her chest as if it could calm her irritation. "That damn High Human thinks he can interfere with our plan to collect the mana for the final batch of Cultivation Pills? He's got another thing coming."

Her gaze drifted toward the moonlit sky, her expression sharpening.

"And if the Devil of Velonica shows up like I think he will… Hassan will be so focused on him, he won't even notice the slow disappearance of the male visitors."

A cold smile crept along her lips, dangerous, knowing.

"After the Devil kills Kiranna… I'll need to appeal to his… fantasies. Steal his mana during sex." Her hand hovered just above her pelvis, where her gown thinned into nearly nothing. "If the Creator is right… He'll have enough power to open that Temporal Wormhole… or whatever she called it."

But as quickly as the thought came, doubt crept into her voice, spoken barely above a whisper. "But… will that truly be enough power to get me back home?"

The thought gnawed at the edges of her confidence. "The Creator promised. But promises, like men, are easy to break."

Before the creeping anxiety could linger, a voice called out behind her somewhere inside—familiar, sharp, and impatient. Azumi Midori, the Harlequin Witch herself.

"Hey, Luvina! Danni's looking for you in the main room. Says she needs help with something."

Luvina exhaled, regaining her poise in a blink. "Huh? Okay, I'm coming."

As she turned, more nobles and wealthy guests filed in from their carriages—another parade of walking egos ready to drown themselves in lust, alcohol, and whispered deals. But my eyes weren't there to witness it directly. While the Sycamore Tree blossomed into a playground for devils, I was elsewhere, in my [Midnight World], steadying myself. The storm was coming—and every twisted root beneath that tree would feel it.

Meanwhile, within my Midnight World...

The ultraviolet and silver glow of my neutron star poured down like moonlit rain, casting a gentle, surreal hue across the vast Wyoming-king-size bed. The sheets were tangled in knots, soaked in intimate sweat, mana residue, and the lingering fragrance of skin-on-skin satisfaction. In the center of that messy heaven, Omnia lay sprawled across the bed, her ocean blue skin glistening with leftover energy, her long midnight-colored hair sticking to her face and shoulders.

Her chest rose and fell in quick, shallow breaths, the aftershocks of our divine playtime still riding her body like waves. A deep, satisfied smile curved her lips, the kind that held no restraint, only pure euphoria. I noticed the slight shimmer in her eyes—a thin glaze of tears welling from the corners—but she wiped them away quickly, trying to conceal her overwhelming joy with a poorly hidden brush of her hand.

"That was amazing," she whispered, her voice shaky but laced with delight.

"Yes, you were," I teased, propping myself up on my elbow, a sly grin stretching across my face. "I didn't know Water Mana could be used for squirting."

Omnia let out a soft, amused giggle, her teeth flashing behind parted lips. "Hehehe… It's hard not to become a sea when you're being double penetrated."

I chuckled low, unable to hide my pride as I flexed my hand, the faint shimmer of Omnis Mana still pulsing through my fingers. "I'm glad to know I can create extra limbs with [Matter Manipulation] and your Mana."

She stretched her arm lazily toward me, tracing her fingers down my chest. "You've mastered my version of mana quite well… although…" Her cyan eyes gleamed mischievously. "I didn't expect you to gain access to my sister's mana, too."

That made me raise an eyebrow. "Your sister's mana?"

"Divinity Mana," she explained, shifting slightly under the covers, the motion stirring up the scent of sweat and ozone. "It was created by my younger sister… Roxy."

"Oh yeah… there's three of y'all, right?"

"Correct. Roxy of the Meridian, Danica of the Dawn… and me, Omnia of the Twilight." She let her voice roll with pride. "We each created a version of mana for the Prime Realm System. Mine ended up being the easiest for most Soul Cores to access… at least in fractions."

I tilted my head, the puzzle pieces clicking together. "Then that means… there's a third Ascended Mana?"

"You mean Danica's? Yes… her impossible Quantum Mana." Omnia's expression softened with faint awe. "It hasn't been accessed by anyone I can think of."

"What makes it impossible?" I asked, already knowing the answer would probably piss me off.

"Without influence from her, Quantum Mana takes a… different approach to how it's molded. How it's even understood. I doubt mortals even know it exists."

"Interesting…" I muttered, tapping my chin.

"Quantum Mana, experimental magick no one knows about… my damn life really never takes a break."

Omnia's expression shifted to one more playful, her hand sliding up to my neck as she leaned closer. "While we're on the topic of other women…" Her voice dropped to a teasing purr. "Until we marry, I'll let you taste a few other kisses… but only if I like her as well."

"Oh my… claiming me and giving me a Hall Pass? I'm such a lucky devil." I smirked.

That's when I felt her behind me. She slipped her arms around my neck, her cheek pressing against mine as she hugged me tightly from behind, her warmth sinking into my skin.

"No other woman will have the number one spot in your heart." Her voice was soft but firm. "That's reserved only for your Goddess."

"You know," I laughed, "I like it when you talk all possessive."

"You will always be mine, Moonlight." She sealed the words with another kiss, slow and indulgent.

We let the moment breathe—just wrapped in each other, drifting in that post-climax haze—until [Moon Sage: Tsukuyomi] decided to buzz in like a damn secretary with bad timing.

"Master, I know you're still taking a moment to yourself," Tsukuyomi's voice rang through my mind, formal and calm as always. "But I have some information I think you should be alerted to."

I sighed, still holding Omnia close. "Oh? Go ahead, Tsuki. What's crackin'?"

"The mana signature of Alexander has traveled to a distance that would place him in the northern neighboring country of Endora."

I frowned. "What, Alex left town? He's a big boy. He'll be fine."

"The location he's at is also the same origin point of the Arcane Threads analyzed from those glasses… of the Imp, Kiranna Rosalett. The Blood Witch of Endora."

"…Ahh, shit. Alex."

Omnia pulled back slightly, her brow furrowed, her expression thoughtful. "What are you going to do, master? Sonata Core Fire: Grand… was always a destructive spirit."

I raised an eyebrow at that. "His Sonata name is Grand? Remind me to ask about Luda's and Steez's later."

"That is the additional information I wanted to relay to you," [Moon Sage: Tsukuyomi] chimed in smoothly. "With our understanding of Sonata Cores now… we can detect others. And… there is a Sonata Core at that location as well."

Omnia hummed thoughtfully, closing her eyes, her body relaxing like silk against mine. "Hmmm… give me a moment."

I watched her, the faint glow of my [Dimensional Detection] lacing her form as she hijacked it, scanning the area Tsukuyomi mentioned. A soft moan slipped from her lips, and when she opened her eyes again, her expression was equal parts amused and devilish.

"He speaks of Sonata Core Sex: Major," she said, her cat-like pupils narrowing playfully. "A Umdori from another Stellar Kingdom Cycle… Luvina Puff. She was part of the Soul Cores I experimented with while I waited for your birth."

My eyes narrowed. "Omni… what the hell? Experimenting how?"

"I summoned Luvina through time… to use as another weapon against my mother. She was Destini's chosen in her original world, but—much like you—she hated the Outer Gods. I discovered her while reading some of Destini's… old Bibles."

"That still doesn't tell me how you were experimenting on her."

A wicked grin curled her lips. "I installed a copy of my lust in her Sonata Core. She was my first attempt at creating a true… Sex Demigoddess. I had grown bored with all the constant fighting I was seeing."

"…Why do I get the feeling a Sex Demigoddess ain't as holy as it sounds?"

"She was promised… if she found you in the future, she'd find a way back to her timeline. Although…" Omnia tilted her head innocently. "I may have forgotten to mention that Xero destroyed her universe by proxy."

I sat up, staring at her. "The fuck? That means she's trapped here! That's pretty damn cold, Omnia."

She only shrugged, lips curling in mischief. "Guess you better make it up to her… or deal with her." Her eyes twinkled with excitement. "It'll be great for my notes."

"Great… another person I probably owe therapy and a drink," I groaned. "And damnit, Omnia. You… studying me while I clean up your messes?"

"Yes, I am, master." No hesitation.

"At least you're honest."

Suddenly, a soft, golden-white glow pulsed from her body. Spiritons—tiny motes of spiritual light—began to pour from her like mist. She didn't look surprised. But there was sadness… hidden beneath her ever-present smile.

"I guess you really did tire me out…" she admitted, her voice gentle. "Seems I need to recharge to retain this form. Until I return… I'll be reverting back into my three halves." Her hand cupped my cheek, her thumb brushing over my lip. "Be sure to miss me bunches."

I smiled softly, brushing my fingers over her hand. "The return of the queens, huh?"

"Even though they're all me… they have their own consciousness when divided." Her voice softened even more. "But we all share another thing in common…" Her eyes glowed in their heart shape. "A love for you."

With those final, teasing words, her smile faltered as her form dispersed into trillions of shimmering spiritons, dissolving into the atmosphere of my [Midnight World]. But her presence… never truly left.

I turned to find them—the three halves of my Twilight Goddess—now lounging nude across the vast bed, each one stunning in their own unique way. Twin cat-tails twitched lazily, four arms stretched in satisfaction, fairy wings folded gently behind her shoulders. Ass and titties everywhere. They oozed sex appeal in a way that damn near made me forget I had a job to do.

"Welcome back, ladies," I said with a grin. "Shame we can't rest any longer. We got work to do."

"Aww, boo…" Kyttin pouted, her ears drooping. "I wanted to do that again… but as I am now."

"I like her idea…" Karma grinned wickedly. "Sounds more fun."

"Are we leaving right this minute?" Chomei asked, her tone hazy, still lost in the high of satisfaction.

"Listen to y'all…" I laughed. "Shame, shame, shame." I pulled my energy together, redressing in my bioarmor copy of the Noir Empress and forming a circular portal beneath me. "Just rest in Armament mode. I'll create biodolls for each of you once I check out what's happening in Endora."

Karma rolled her eyes. "This man can stop time and teleport."

"Right?" Kyttin added with a teasing glare. "That's not a long time to rest."

I just laughed, sinking into the portal as the edges of reality folded away beneath me. "See you in a few, my loves."

The only thing that followed was the sound of playful groans and complaints, but I was already gone, slipping back into Gaia's reality.

A midnight trip to Endora. Blood, witches, and unfinished business. My kinda party.
