Then came the revelation that the Silver Wand had manipulated Claremont into using the "West Reich Initiative" under his name to stir up trouble. Suddenly, the room grew tense, and many began to wonder why the name sounded so familiar.
Finally, Claremont sought guidance from his contact, revealing his intention to visit the Silver Wand and seek advice. A chill passed through the group as some started to suspect the true identity behind the Silver Wand.
Yet even with that realization dawning, disbelief still clouded their eyes. Andre, who had watched the entire video alongside them, wore a dark and terrifying expression, underscoring just how serious the situation truly was.
The moment he heard the first sentence over the Silver Wand gun, he immediately recognized who was speaking. Considering that the other party was stirring up trouble among the civilian groups, there was no doubt about the tricks behind these events in Germany.
After the video finished playing, a German Auror wore a shocked expression, his eyes darting between Andre and Alex. "The Silver Wand that showed up here, could it really be him? The one Claremont said you were going to meet?" he asked.
"That's right!" Alex replied firmly. "After those two met, I only saw two people: Director Andre here, and the other one you saw in the video, The current Germany Minister of Magic, Matthias Eisenberg."
Alex's words hit the room like a boulder thrown into a still pond, instantly turning the place noisy, like a bustling market. Even Newt and Amelia, who hadn't known about this before, looked shocked. The German Aurors were even more agitated.
"What? No way!" one late-arriving Auror exclaimed. "So it really is him, I thought his voice sounded familiar." His words revealed the thoughts running through his mind.
"Why? Why would Minister Eisenberg do this? Why would he team up with Silver Wand to stir up trouble among the civil society?" another Auror shouted, his voice filled with anger and disbelief.
"That doesn't necessarily mean Minister Eisenberg is the man behind Silver Wand," an Auror added skeptically. "The man in the video was wearing a mask, and the voice could have been altered!"
"Silence!" Alex shouted, cutting through the chaos. Then he added, "This is just part of the evidence." His commanding tone quieted the crowd, though the doubts and shock still lingered in their eyes.
"During my investigation, I found many Restricted Use-level alchemy devices from Wilson's Arcane Alchemica in that base. These devices are banned from being sold to ordinary wizards, you have to deal directly with the British Ministry of Magic to get them. The fact that so much of this equipment was found at Silver Wand's base speaks volumes."
After finishing his sentence, Alex turned to Amelia, who was standing beside him. "Director Amelia, before coming here, I asked you to check the export records for Restricted Use-level equipment. Could you tell me how much of this equipment Germany has imported to the UK? Also, how many buyers are involved, and what are their respective quantities?"
Amelia met his gaze and replied calmly, "So that's why you wanted this information.
At the moment, there are only three German organizations importing to us: German Gringotts, the Branch of Obscure Books, and… the German Ministry of Magic."
After a brief pause, Amelia continued, "Out of all the orders, the first two clients only requested a small number of our anti-theft detectors. The majority of the sales actually came from the German Ministry of Magic."
She added, "They bought over 50 sets of anti-theft monitors and nearly 20 tactical vests. The rest amounts to about twenty pieces."
Amelia went on to explain, "Strictly speaking, the German Ministry of Magic is the official organization with the highest procurement volume among European countries. Their total purchase exceeded 10,000 Galleons. To show our appreciation, we even gifted them a bonus."
After hearing this, Alex turned to the German Aurors with a smile. "Did you hear that? Since the German Ministry of Magic has bought so much tactical gear, and you are the main armed force in the Ministry, have you received any of this equipment?"
The dozen or so Aurors present exchanged uneasy glances, their expressions growing increasingly sour.
Andre finally spoke up with a complicated look on his face. "Let me be clear... so far, the Law Enforcement Department has only received 10 pairs of Magic Handcuffs, 10 pairs of Tracking Glasses, and two sets of Tactical Vests. As for those anti-theft monitors you mentioned, we don't even know what they are."
Andre shook his head and smiled wryly. "When I first got the equipment, I thought Eisenberg and I were just having some political disagreements. I assumed he sympathized with the challenges faced by the Law Enforcement Department and was trying to support us with new gear.
But it turns out he was just passing us off like beggars! That's 10,000 Galleons, he used the Ministry's funds to arm the Silver Wand for himself!"
The more Andre spoke, the angrier he became. He slammed his fist so hard on the conference table that it dented the wood. The old man was surprisingly strong.
Alex glanced at the damaged table with some concern but quickly composed himself. "Well, it's good we found out now. If he really divides Germany in two, it'll be too late to do anything about it."
"Exactly!" Andre agreed emphatically, his eyes suddenly hardened, filled with a deadly determination.
"I've figured out why that bastard Eisenberg was so eager to push the secession bill. I used to think he was either bewitched or threatened by the Silver Wand. But who would've guessed? That bastard is a Silver Wand himself."
"And not just any Silver Wand," Alex sneered, scanning the faces around him. "From what I've uncovered recently, Eisenberg is very likely the Silver Wand known as the 'Golden Snidget,' the current vice leader of the Silver Wand Club!"
"What?" The crowd gasped in shock, including Amelia and Newt, who both stared at Alex in disbelief.
"Are you sure? Alex, he's the Vice leader of the Silver Wand?" Amelia asked, her eyes wide with surprise.
Sir Merlin Bloc, represented by Amelia, had tasked Alex with uncovering the club's leader, knowing it was a tough job. They would have been happy just to see the Silver Wand group weakened and their safe haven destroyed. But Alex had gone further than anyone expected and actually uncovered the Vice leader's identity.
"I'm not 100% certain, but I'm about 80% sure. Even if he's not, Eisenberg is definitely one of the top executives of the club," Alex said firmly, locking eyes with Amelia before turning to address the rest.
"And from what I've learned, besides Eisenberg, the heads of the Magical Accidents and Disasters Department, the Magical Beasts Management and Control Department, and the Magic Traffic Department in the German Ministry of Magic have all been absorbed into the Silver Wand Club. That's why they always seem so coordinated."
